Port Charles Update for Friday, 2-Apr-1999

Welcome, ladies & gentlemen to GRACIE'S WEEKEND UPDATE......PART I !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Be sure to tune in for Part II on Monday, as I also have that update,lucky me. LOL

Okay, let's get this over with, shall we? lol

*PART I*

We open with the Scanlon living room. Frank is on the phone, "What do you mean the money's gone?!?!?!?" he shouts into the phone. This updater assumes that he is talking to Courtney about yesterday's cliffhanger......."Marcia's" account at PCNB--where service is first rate, according to Chris, has been closed, but not by Courtney or Frank. Strange.

We see Courtney outside the bank. "I mean it's GONE---not here!" She says, looking quite panicked. I cheer at this, then I bounce around the room a bit when I see everyone's favorite doctor---Chris comes up behind Courtney. Oblivious to this, Courtney goes on," I swear, Chris has no *idea* who he's up against---no one, & I mean NO ONE messes with Courtney Kanelos & get's away with it, do you hear me? NO ONE!!!! Chris is going DOWN!!!!!"

Chris & I both begin to laugh hysterically at this. Courtney turns around, "Chris! What are you doing here?"

"Question is," he starts, "what are YOU doing here? I thought you didn't like the way that teller treated you the other day."

"Oh," Courtney begins, scrambling for an answer," well, uhh---"

"Nevermind," Chris says, "I have to get to the hospital."

Chris gets in his car & drives off. Courtney sighs, feeling relieved, & steps into the parking lot.

The sound of screeching tires is heard as a big ol' truck comes whirling around the corner. Courtney looks up just in time to see Chris at the wheel, an evil gleam in his eye, coming staright towards her, at an alarming speed.

He laughs as the truck flattens Ms. Kanelos into a mere memory, a shadow, already forgotten.

I am jumping all over the place at this point, & my joy only grows when Garcia shows up & unofficially declares it a Port Charlesian holiday------The Day Courtney Went Splat-----Friday, April 2, 1999. Children all over PC will be out of school, post offices will be closed, as will all major department stores. It is to be a happy little holiday indeed.

The very spot of the uhh-"accident" is turned into a "memorial", if you will, of the very spot Chris rid the town of a major problem.

Chris is given a medal & is given the key to the city. He is a hero!

During his press conference, Chris pulls a dark haired woman from the audience, up to the podium & into his arms. He introduces her as his girlfriend, Valerie.

At this point, it seems as though we will cut to a commercial, but that oh-so-lovely music starts & we realize that ABC is breaking in with national news.............


Okay, if you believed one word of that, then you need more help than *I* do! LOL

In reality, Chris was nowhere to be found today, but since I have to update it, I decided to at least try & make someone laugh, since the actual episode was a complete waste of air time. And I was actually *dissapointed* when ABC didn't break in, how sad is that?

Kevin & Eve discuss Eve's holding something back in regards to D.V. Scott & Lucy do the same, but Lucy has four or five little cards from the fortune-telling thingy that MIKE, not "some higher power" like Lucy thinks, put there. They say things like, "The dark-haired woman holds the key." We then see Eve, holding a key, coming into the lighthouse. Gee Latham, or Hamner, or whoever's in charge at this point. Thanks *so* very much, I never would have gotten it had it not been for that "Look! EVE---with her DARK hair, is HOLDING A KEY." scene. I really mean it, thank you.

More of the same as the whole pointless quad discusses Eve & D.V. for most of the remainder of the episode. Eve gets her 'tude back for awhile, one of today's 2, count 'em, *2* highlights. She tells Scott & Lucy that she is not saying anymore. Not in so many words. Way cool.

Frank & Courtney were also on today. Turns out Frank withdrew the money via wire transfer, he's getting pretty good at that, he says. He ony admits this at the very end of their scenes, it was his after April Fool's Day gag. If he had done it yesterday, Courtney would have known what he was up to. Yeah right. Coming up with that joke would mean that *Frank* was using their brain cell........

I start to get aggrevated at this point, because IMO, Frank & Courtney are being WAY overdone, & being pushed too much. They are being shoved down our throats & are not funny anymore. Not to me anyway........but I digress.

Courty-Court calls Frank a fool in a hilarious exchange, qualifying these 5 seconds as highlight #2 of todays' PC.


And that's it. The entire episode.
