Port Charles Update for Tuesday, 6-Apr-1999

Today's episode is "The Bug Attack" and no I am not referring to Buzz the fly. And we get to play a little game (lucky us). Let's see just how many characters get bugged in PCland on this fine Tuesday.

Our buggy episode begins with DV spotting Scott spotting him with Eve (I was looking back to see if you were looking back to see if I was - never mind). He tells Eve not to look. She does anyway. DV is bugged (Bug #1 - I am thinking snail here). DV however is all smiles with Scott and wonders if Eve and Scott are playing good cop/bad cop with him (and how would he tell which was which?). Scott and Eve glare at each other - both seriously - you guessed it - bugged (#2 with the apple fetish would be a worm, #3 let's say is a spider - they can be pretty darn smart and I might have another meaning in mind ).

Karen sees Joe laughing with a redheaded woman - and is - gasp! Bugged (I say #4 is a caterpillar - waiting to blossom). We are treated with - oh joy - another flashback (I am seriously going to start an anit-flashback petition) where she asked Joe about a redheaded woman that kept calling. The redhead shakes Joe's hand and leaves. Karen asks Joe about lunch pretending to be all unupsetish. Joe isn't interested in lunch he's busy so Karen offers to bring it to him. Karen then can't help herself and asks about the redhead - Joe realizes that Karen has turned an unattractive shade of green and is - (#5 - a tick cause that is what he is - ticked off - and maybe for another reason or so hehehehe).

Courtney is using her actual bug to listen into Chris. Chris is talking to his PI and swears that even though the bank account is closed he will still prove Courtney stole Julie's money. Three guesses as to what Courtney is? She is (bug #6 - a mosquito - you know goes from person to person without being very picky who's - er - blood it is). Gee whiz but DV didn't know Scott was looking for him, he was simply out of town on business (since when is PC DV's town anyway?) Scott very unimaginatively calls DV a snake. (I bet that hurt his feelings!) Scott sits with them, Eve is not happy he's there. DV chides Scott over that nasty child labor business. Scott offers to stick his foot up DV's - well I would tell you but Eve stopped him (now that might have been creative ). DV tells Eve he doesn't need her defense. Sabatoge yells Scott (gee you think?) DV thinks Scott and Lucy did a fine job of destroying themselves by themselves (I second that emotion). Scott plans to see DV in He@@ before he allows DV to win. DV contemplates a moment - is he worried - is he not? He decides not. Scott is not through with DV. Oh I am all atwitter DV remarks (gotta love this guy!). DV thanks Eve for lunch and leaves. Eve doesn't think Scott should try to bring down the mighty DV. Scott (and very smartly I might add) points out the Eve moved in the Lighthouse cause she was supposedly scared of DV - so scared she is having lunch with him and holding his hand. The truth hurts - and Eve is sorry she ever tried to help him.

Karen enters the lion's den - or maybe the wasp's parlor - where Frankie is working at the Recovery Room. Karen explains the Joe situation to a all too sympathetic Frankie. Frank just thinks Karen has every right to be suspicious of Joe (especially since he worked so hard to make that happen). Frank offers to report any redhead sightings - Karen never told Frank the mystery woman had redhair. Frank tries to cover.

Scott visits Lucy in her hotel room - very angry about his visit with DV. When she hears DV's lunch companion was Eve she is - wow you are so smart (bug #7 - a fly - always up in the air and buzzing about something). Eve pays a visit to Chris ranting about Scott's treatment of her and - once again - for a brilliant person very stupid where Chris and his feelings are concerned (does the guy have to get a tattoo? and if he does can I decide where it goes?)
Chris wonders about an afternoon quickie but Eve doesn't want any jokes today (I personally would opt for "fooling around"). After Eve ends her Scott-rant the ohsowise Chris points out that Eve doesn't seem to be very over the apple man. Lucy is ohsohappy that Scott sees the real Eve - like she sees her (and this is our lucky day - the feud reignites itself bringing joy and laughter to all involved). Eve won't help them, pouts Lucy, cause it's not to her advantage. She tells Scott about running into Kevin (you know - her true love ) and how he didn't say anything - but she could tell by looking in his eyes (eyes - crystal ball - no difference) that he knew Eve was hiding something.

Eve is well over Scott and into complete bliss with Kevy - and then why are you here asks Chris? Habit is Eve's answer. A refuge - so Chris once again asks her to move back in and she once again swears she is happy as a little bug in the Lighthouse. 'Sides you want to be alone with Courtney. Courtney who? asks Scott, much to Courtney's disgust (be careful Chris - she bites!) Eve tells Chris he is her best friend. Chris is genuinely shocked and happy. You are mine too, he responds. (awwwwwwww - come on Eve open them eyes!). Courtney - proving that mosquitoes are smarter than spiders - realizes that Chris has a thing for Ms. Eve.

Frank tells Karen that Joe is an introvert but if she ever needs a willing ear - his is available. Joe introduces Karen to Penny and her two redheaded kids. Penny has heard more than enough about Karen and leaves. See says Joe? Casting call asks Karen? And then says she is kidding but Joey is unamused. Trust me or else - as he stomps off. Lucy makes a few more snide comments about Eve. Scott munches a big apple as he announces they are going to the Big Apple (such visuals) to do some snooping into DV's life.

Courtney tells Frank about Chris's crush and they once again listen in. Chris jokingly (supposedly) tells Eve he is the man of her dreams. Eve admires his animal magnetism but must - so sadly - resist. Eve thanks Chris for listening to DV rant without questioning her and then gives him a hug. Frank and Courtney wonder about Eve and DV and Chris's crush. We need this - says Courtney to (bug #8 - the wasp) cause he is trying to find me guilty of what I am guilty of (or something like that). Courtney and Frank decided to look into DV and Eve (and oh my wouldn't it be a shame if they found out something before Lucy and Scott did?). Chris drops a drink - and finds a bug - bug #9!
