Port Charles Update for Monday, 19-Apr-1999

Greetings all! Yes, it's time once again for an update from yours truly -- aren't you just THRILLED! And -- guess what --- CHRIS was on today! So that means some drooling from me, as there ALWAYS is whenever Chris is on! AND, certain podded characters that make me violently ill WEREN'T on today, so I won't have to deal with any hate mail due to my snarky comments. Hooray!

Well, the show begins with Scott calling Kevin -- he's not there. Scott leaves him a message, wants to know if Lucy has called him. A cop comes by -- Scott tells the cop that Lucy is missing.

At Pferncliffle, Chris comes to see Julie, and is NOT a happy camper. (But boy, does he look HOT -- as if he could possibly look otherwise!) He's pretty miffed at the fact that Julie is now getting all the DL56 money, and he gets nada. Julie proceeds to make him an offer -- smuggle her baby out of there, and she'll give him half the money. Chris looks at her like she's nuts. And, well . . . . she IS in an institution for the criminally insane, SO . . . . . .

At Frank and Courtney's spy den, Frank walks in with all kinds of paraphernalia from the Classic Cat, which he intends to plant in Joe's locker and have Karen find it. He wants to plant it ALL there, but Courtney says just a matchbook will suffice.

Scott goes to DV's office -- he's not there. What an exciting scene. Yawn.

At GH, Courtney runs into Joe and gives him Neil's backpack to put in his locker, since Neil is spending the night there.

Back at the looney bin, Chris says he'd be HAPPY to smuggle Julie's ‘baby' out of there -- and wants to know more about the money, LOL! Julie says that her baby is due June 1st so there's not much time. (Okay, now I KNOW this child is the anti-Christ. The baby would have been conceived in September if this is the case -- Julie was in JAIL in September. She didn't get out till late October. And I highly doubt that Frank was allowed conjugal visits. If anyone has an explanation other than ‘this kid was NOT conceived by natural means and will likely come out sporting horns and a tail', please tell me, cause I'm at a loss here!) Julie says she has something to show Chris -- she shows him her belly, and you should SEE the look on his face when it's obvious that she is VERY pregnant! His jaw about dropped to the floor!

Scott runs into a bum and finds Lucy's purse among his stuff.

Frank sneaks into the oncall room and plants the matchbook in Joe's locker.

Courtney sees Karen and asks her to go into Joe's locker and put Neil's vitamins in his backpack -- she forgot to put them in there and wants to make sure he gets them.

Back at the nuthouse, Chris is shocked -- but impressed. He says that she fooled him, and that's not easy feat. He then goes into ‘doctor mode' and starts asking her all these questions about pre-natal care and such. Julie says she's been doing the best she can. He asks if it's Frank's -- she says yes. (I'm telling you, this kid is a child of the DEVIL -- RUN, Chris, RUN!!!!) She wants to know if he's going to be a man of his word and help her or not.

Scott questions the bum, and he admits to seeing Lucy. I'm sorry, but this was a MAJOR snoozefest portion of the show today. So pardon me if I seem uninterested. The bum admits to seeing Lucy, yadda, yadda, yadda . . . . . .

Karen sees Frank and strikes up a conversation with him. She asks him if he's ever considered going back to medical school -- he doesn't think anyone would ever accept him into one. She suggests maybe he can work at the youth center where Scott has been working. She says she has to go put Neil's vitamins in his back pack, and they go into the oncall room. Karen opens Joe's locker and finds the matchbook from the strip club that Frank planted.

Back at the funny farm, Julie says she needs someone to help her, and Chris is smart enough to do so. She says ‘Greg Cooper could have pulled this off -- surely you're smarter than he is.' Chris wasn't too fond of that comment, but heard her out anyway. She said they need to find a hiding place to deliver the baby, and then Chris would smuggle the baby out and find a home for her. Chris assumes she wants the baby put up for adoption, and she says no, just a place where the baby will be safe till she can get out of there. Chris, who is starting to spend WAY too much time with Courtney, it seems, cause brain cells are depleting by the second, says YES!!!!! Of course, his entire motivation here is MONEY, but why do I have an awful feeling that Chris is gonna end up taking care of this kid? I hope he knows a good exorcist . . . . . .
