Port Charles Update for Thursday, 22-Apr-1999

The title of today's episode is Maybe Baby and Maybe? Oh Baby!

Hold on to your hats boys and girls cause it's gonna be one bumpy ride.

We begin our fair episode with Eve telling "Dr. Ramsey" a patient of his is anxiously waiting test results. This highly amuses our Dr. CutiePie who feigns total ignorance of who it could be. Eve is thinking just maybe it's not a great idea to be trying out her doctor wings, just getting to know a really groovy guy(who wasn't on today and who I missed oodles and bits), and adding a baby to the mix (gee you think?) And gosh darn it but Chris thought motherhood = upbeat (obviously never been around a Mom who's bundle of joy was teething). Meanwhile our second frick and frack couple - Courtney and Frank have decided that something is buggy with the bug in Chris's apartment (gee you think?) and after much back and forthing Courtney agrees to be the breaker-in-er of Chris's apartment while Frankie becomes Chris's personal stalker (now which one of those two options would I pick - hmmmm)


Eve is still all anxious and Chris is still all teasing. Lee however breaks up Chris's happy go lucky mood by unluckily telling him that no way is he letting Chris near Julie's money. (I don't think I've mentioned this so in the viewer's right to know column I must add that Chris was looking seriously hot today - my my my all dressed in black and - whew - is it me or is it getting awfully hot in here?) Anyway they argue for a while, Chris doesn't exactly turn on the charm and storms off in a Chrisfit. Meanwhile we get to see Frank holding what really - by this time - must be really old stinky food. Somebody burn those brown bags quick! Sebastian, on the other hands, is oozing oodles of charm as he gives a nurse all the mardi gras necklaces (except for the special one he gives Eve) and some flowers.

And now for today's EASY moment - (everyone sit back and think what could be) Eve tell's Ellen she is so glad Seb's not going to be all alone (if it's company's he's desiring I have one heck of an idea of how he can get it.) They also discuss how uncool it is that Matt is being hurt (and if it's comforting Matt needs I certainly know where he can get that ) And then we get to see Matt - all looking sad and forlorn but still mightily handsome - staring at Ellen's picture. Sigh. And then Alice dropped in (causing Matt to wonder himself why he suddenly had an urge to yell out Night JohnBoy - Night Mary Ellen - it's a Walton world after all.) Matt tells Alice the whole sad story, she is sorry things didn't work out for him and Ellen.

Courtney breaks into Chris's apartment and finds him bugless. She calls Frankie who is following Chris (who obviously forgot all about Eve's very important test results) and Chris is heading the opposite direction says Frank. Courtney turns Chris's apartment into Snoop City. The assistant from yesterday is wandering around holding Eve's tests results. They accidentally ran a CBC first which is why it took so long. And the moment we all have been waiting for - Maybe Baby????? NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Tammy faints herself from relief. She does it extremely well though garnering herself a 9.9) However Eve's not home free - the CBC yeilded not good news.

Ellen escorts Sebby into his new home sweet apartment. Alice and Ellen mock fight (Hey I think I'm new! How the heck would I know? I'm new too. Well don't look at me I have no idea who is who - but it doesn't matter cause I always believe what I am told). Ellen finds the picture of herself Matt left behind. Frankie tells Courtney not too happily that Chris is at Ferncliff - come on back replies Courtney I have great news.

Chris informs Julie - no money he no snugglee babee. While Sebby sleeps Alice and Ellen discuss all her men. Alice thinks Ellen is using Seb to relive Sam. Matt and Eve discuss how it is just plain awful to break up with someone and have your heart broken. Matt needs a distraction and if there is anything that Eve enjoys doing it is offering herself as a distraction . She lists her symptoms which by now include elevated white count and stomach cramps. Courntey giddily tells Frank that Chris's patent didn't go thru, Bennett is the rich cat (howbeit a dead rich cat) and Chris is being sued by Lance. Frankie (in one of his rare and wonderful brain flashes) realizes that Julie may be nutty but she is very rich.

And now for the best part - the Maybe? Oh BABY part - are you sitting down? As Chris begins to walk out - Julie is also struck with an idea (I myself feel smarter after watching all this idea-popping.) Julie suggests to Chris that he dust up his tuxedo and she'll meet him at the altar! Maybe marriage? Would Chris walk away from all that money .....do they allow conjugal visits at the nut-oops I meant Ferncliff....inquiring minds want to find out but we'll just have to wait -

In the meantime I need to find myself a big ole cake cause I think I'm going to be doing some popping out at Chris's bachelor party - and I'll be the only girl there
