Port Charles Update for Monday, 10-May-1999

No humor today folks, I am so offended by the implied events that we did not see that I just don’t have any humor in me. Cut and dry.

Courtney calls Frank to let him know that Joe found a book of matches from the strip club. Frank is upset but Karen walks in and he gets off the phone. (I may be upset, but not upset enough not to notice how great Karen looks in her morning robe ). Joe asks Courtney if she knows where Frank is.

Victor and Scotty develop a plan to find DV. Victor suggests a wiretap. Scotty says to bug DV’s office. Victor agrees.

Lucy comes down the stairs at the cabin. Poor Lucy does not yet realize that she has been RAPED. DV says he has plans for the day with her.

Courtney plays up to Joe. She reiterates that she got the matches from Frank. WAKE UP JOE! Courtney is slick, but she ain’t that slick. Joe starts to think that Frank may be setting him up. Courtney recounts happier times with Joe. But the distraction doesn’t work and Joe heads to Karen’s.

Frank is ever the good friend. He makes sure Karen has a good meal in her and consoles her about his “sex addict” brother. With friends like Frank… (Since all certain people do in the update is gush over Chris, I though I would mention again how hot Karen is – God I will miss JH). Lucy and DV arrive at a casino. The cabin must be upstate NY someplace, cause the only casinos in the state of NY are on Indian reservations upstate NY. DV has arranged for the casino workers to know who “Evie” is. But there is an unknown man at the craps table with them.

Victor and Scotty (or should I call them the Green Hornet and Kato) pull the fire alarm at DV’s office to give them time to bug the phone. Scotty is amazed at Victor’s prowess as a spy. Victor reminds Scotty of his own shady past. The bug is placed.

Frank is laying it on thick with Karen. But in her emotional state, Karen is actually buying this dreck. Joe knocks on the door. He confronts Frank about the matches.

“Evie” is on a roll at the table. She has one lots of money. The unknown man accuses her of cheating. DV lays him out. “If there is one thing I can’t stand its men who threaten women,” DV says to the man. “I guess that doesn’t count RAPISTS you idiot!!” Gil says.

Scotty is listening to the bug. Victor tells Scotty he know sees how much Scotty loves Lucy. He is glad that Lucy has someone who loves her. They overhear that DV is at the cabin through the listening device.

Frank (who is know one of the two smartest people on this show – Victor is the other) has a story at the ready. He was at the strip club checking out Joe’s story and picked up the matches. Karen doesn’t believe Joe’s story. Frank smiles as Courtney watches through the telescope.

Scotty and Victor gear up to go to the cabin. Lucy and DV arrive back at the cabin. “Evie” wants to spend the day in bed because DV has taken away any sense of who she is and completely isolated her from the people who care about her and could help her through this medical crisis. Not to mention reinforced this brainwashing with a fake cop, fake passport, fake pictures, and now a room full of people who pretended to know “Evie”. Kidnapping should be added to the indictment when DV is arrested for RAPE. After “Evie” goes upstairs we learn why DV is going after Scott. “It’s a terrible thing when someone steals the love of your life, isn’t it Mr. Baldwin,” DV says.
