Port Charles Update for Monday, 24-May-1999

Hey everyone! Yes, I know you've been dying to read my update. Unfortunately, Chris wasn't on today, so you won't get the pleasure of my usual five paragraphs on the wonders of Chris that you usually find in my updates. Sorry to disappoint! :( (Oh, and all you Eve fans out there -- please don't kill me. I'm just in a snarky mood today. But, if you feel the need to send me hate mail, DO spell my name correctly! It's V-A-L-E-R-I-E. Thank you.)

Anyway, the show begins where it left off Friday -- with Scott, Lucy, and the engagement ring. Scott asks Lucy to marry him. She's in tears. She doesn't say a word, but holds out her hand and has Scott put the ring on her finger. Karen and Serena are watching from the top of the stairs, and they cheer.

At the site of the wedding, Courtney wants to "rehearse" walking down the aisle with Joe. Frank looks on in disgust.

Kevin calls Eve and tells her there's STILL no luck finding Victor. (Someone PLEASE tell me WHY Eve is in the bridal party, and I want a reason that has NOTHING to do with the fact that Eve is currently boinking the groom's son.) Kevin looks on the computer, and finds info about an auction.

Back at the wedding site, we see Lucy and Scott, and Matt and Ellen. Ellen immediately notices the engagement ring on Lucy's finger. Amazing that Ellen is capable of noticing ANYTHING, given the fact that she wouldn't even know where to buy a clue when it comes to relationships with men and how NOT to screw (and I DO mean screw) them up. (Sorry if that was a bit tasteless, but I'm in a snarky mood today!) Eve comes over and congratulates them, and sort of means it. I guess. Go away Eve. (Last sentence was my own personal commentary -- and I sincerely meant that!)

Lark brings Mary a pair of blue earrings so she'll have something blue to wear. Can someone tell me why Lark, Mary's GRANDDAUGHTER, isn't in the bridal party, and Eve is? Just wondering. Eve finally tells Mary that nobody knows where Victor is. And where IS Victor? He's in JAIL, that's where he is!

Scott and Lucy are walking around talking, and Scott says something sweet, but then a COW appears out of nowhere. "What the hell's a cow doing here? Ruined the moment." Scott says. LMAO -- and then Lucy tries to shoo the cow away, LOL! Eventually, they just ignore the cow and keep talking.

Gail comes in to say hello -- Mary is worried about Victor.

More Lucy and Scott -- "Next wedding is ours." they say.

Kevin bails Victor out of jail for trying to steal some lady's purse -- actually, he just wanted a pin for Mary. Kevin got the lady to drop the charges, and even got the pin for Victor. Victor hugs Kevin.

Everyone is waiting for the wedding to start. A cow walks down the aisle. And then Matt has the line of the day when he sees the cow: "Is this a new trend in weddings I don't know about?" LMAO!

Kevin and Victor FINALLY show up. Evie-poo runs over to Kevy-bunny as if it had been YEARS since she'd seen him. Get a grip, woman -- it's been a couple of hours, tops. I know you'll DIE without being able to cling to a man and all, but this is ridiculous! I mean, by all rights you don't even BELONG in this wedding party! But I digress . . . . .

Victor goes over to Mary's room and passes the pin to her through the door. She's touched. And the wedding begins . . . . .
