Port Charles Update for Thursday, 27-May-1999

Today was another Chris day, & as I've said before, "A Chris day is a happy day!" Unfortunately, it's not a happy day for Chris, though. Our show opens with him being served with papers. It seems Lance Pharmaceuticals is suing him. He places a call, & they tell him that they will place a lien on his condo, & garnish his wages in order to get their money. Meanwhile, Kevin & Eve have a rather boring discussion concerning Kevin's new book. Scott can't wait to announce his & Lucy's engagement at Lee & Gail's anniversary party. Lucy doesn't have time to think about that. She's thrilled at the news that Eve had DV's baby. Scott tries to remind her that they don't know that DV's the father. Even so, Lucy knows there's a connection. She'll figure it out.
Chris approaches Lee at GH. He wants to know if GH will support him in the lawsuit. Ok, up til now, I've always liked Lee. But, he was *extremely* snarky to my Chris. Not only will GH not support Chris, he even said that he may advise Julie to sue Chris!!!
Kevin & Eve have another boring conversation. This time, it's about the man who wrote "The French Lieutenant's Woman." ZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Scott tells Lucy that if Eve had a baby, it's none of their business. He doesn't want to see Eve get hurt. Lucy says it's not about her not liking Eve. (yeah, right) She convinces Scott that they should question Eve. Chris phones Julie & suggests a 70/30 split, or even a 60/40 split. Julie offers him 10% of DL-56. Chris says "Are you crazy?" (We all know the answer to that, don't we?) Julie says "I guess this means the wedding is off?" She tells Baby-Nut not to worry, she'll do what she should have done all along.
Scott & Lucy go to the lighthouse to question Eve. Scott can't bring himself to ask her, but Lucy blurts out that they know Eve had a baby. Back at GH, Chris phones Julie again. He's decided that 10% of DL-56 is better than "zip." Unfortunately, he's told that Julie is unavailable.
Well, Julie's unavailable because she's flown the coop! An unsuspecting motorist offers her a ride to PC. Back at the lighthouse, Lucy tells Eve that she knows she had a baby, because Chris leaked the info. (of course, she fails to mention that SHE heard the news from Courtney) Eve breaks down, & admits that she gave birth to DV's baby. But, the baby is dead! I'm not an Eve fan at all, & I felt tremendously bad for her during this scene. Lucy had no right to do this. But this, of course, is as always JMO.
