Port Charles Update for Friday, 4-Jun-1999

At the lighthouse, Kevin tells Eve that Mac had a report that a woman picked up a pregnant woman outside of town and that woman fit Julie's description. They are both curious as to why Julie is still pretending to be pregnant. Eve tells Kevin about Frank trying to blackmail her. She says Frank claims he overheard Chris tell Courtney about Eve's baby. But Eve is convinced that Frank and Courtney are in cahoots. Mac places a guard at the lighthouse which makes Eve feel a little safer. She tells Kevin that she believes Chris when he said he has told nobody about the baby. Eve and Kevin decide to talk to Frank and Courtney separately and see if their versions of the story match. Hopefully, they will slip up. Eve is afraid that DV will find out about the baby and come after her. Eve questions Frank at the Recovery Room while Kevin questions Courtney at the Scanlon house. The scenes flip-flop back and forth showing them answering the questions with the same answers. Frank and Courtney both reveal that they think Chris has a crush on Eve and this was his way of getting back at her. When Kevin asks Courtney if Neil could have overhead on the phone like Frank did, she says no because he was at a friend's, but when Frank is asked the same question, he says no because he could hear him in the other room watching TV. (Aha!)

At the Scanlon house, Mac questions Courtney and Neil about Julie, but they can't give much information. Neil slept through it all. Garcia asks Frank what Julie may have been looking for since his room was torn apart. He plays dumb. When the police leave, Courtney is genuinely frightened and says to Frank that Julie must have been looking for her money. While Neil is outside with the guard that Mac assigned to the house, Courtney tells Frank that if Julie is smart enough to escape Ferncliff, she can find out about the apartment they rented. After the visit from Kevin,Courtney goes to the Recovery Room and she and FRank compare notes about how they gave their stories to Kevin and Eve. When they realize they gave different answers regarding Neil, they know they have trouble. At the lighthouse Kevin and Eve discuss the discrepancy in Frank and Courtney's stories and Eve wonders why they are playing with her life. Mac and Garcia arrive and tell them that Chris is missing. They think he's with Julie.

Chris is driving Julie to his friend's cabin which he estimates is about 2 hours away. Julie wants to stop at a motel but Chris says they'll be found by the police. When Julie warns him that she may have the baby right there in the car, Chris is worried about his new upholstery. (Gotta love that guy) He decides to go to Fairy Tale Village, a deserted amusement park. Once they are inside a "castle" in the park, Julie's contractions are about 5 minutes apart. When Chris refers to the baby as a boy, Julie quickly corrects him and he makes a smart-aleck remark. Julie reminds him that it's not too smart to get sarcastic with a serious killer. Her labor pains become very intense and she fears something is wrong. Chris goes to his car to get some medical supplies. As he is closing his trunk, he sees a policeman (or maybe it's a security guard) is watching him.
