I swear that when I watch this show I feel like Ricky Riccardo. Sometimes I just want to shout “Luuuucccccyyyy!!!” IMHO for the first time in over a year, the SFIDH just got a little less stupid. But more on that later.
Neil is not well. And he knows it. Joe tells everyone that Neil needs some tests, but when Grandma Mean takes Neil away for a few minutes Joe tells Courtney just how serious the situation is. Neil will need bone marrow tests. We all know what this means don’t we?
Frank discovers that the money is missing from the hideaway and has a DL-56 flashback of rage.
Eve and Kevin meet for lunch in the GH cafeteria. Hey, I know they have to eat but I could have lived without the Danny Zucco and Sandy covering the face with a menu bit. Eve complains about Lucy just as Lucy is complaining to Ellen about Eve. These two need a hobby (or so I thought at this point in the show). BTW I honestly can’t remember the last time we saw Ellen. And now she as used as a vehicle to let Lucy complain about Eve. What is wrong with these writers? And why is Lucy constantly throwing a pity party for herself? This is not a weak woman. This is a woman who has created successful businesses and a good life coming from nowhere. She should feel good about herself (not that it’s Lucy’s fault, she doesn’t write these lines). But I digress.
Joe tells Mary about Neil. Now we all know that the only reason soaps ever make anyone sick is so that blood tests will reveal something we didn’t know before. I wonder what that could be this time?
It is not a good day for the Scanlon’s. Franks continues raging. BTW when was the last time this guy had a medical exam? I mean he was only addicted to an unproven medicine that altered his body chemistry and made him a loony, so why bother with checking on him from time to time?
Lucy and Ellen are eating lunch in the cafeteria. Lucy is unaware that Eve and Kevin are at the next table. Lucy tells Ellen Eve’s secret. Kevin and Eve confront Lucy. Now this is where this whole thing is ridiculous. Lucy is not a 16-year old girl who likes to gossip. She is a grown woman who has lived through similar circumstances. Why would she ever tell anyone Eve’s business whether she had been asked to or not? Again Eve has reason to be mad at Lucy. Let us not forget that it was Lucy who set up Eve’s car to have an accident (which in most states would have been a crime, but I guess in PC it ain’t). I say this now for the record – PUT LUCY BACK ON GH WHERE SHE BELONGS!! Not to mention where the writers now how to write for her. This character is an insult to any of us who have known Lucy for the last 10 years.
Ellen says she will not tell. Kevin rightfully says that isn’t the issue. The issue is Lucy’s betrayal. And he is correct. I feel so completely manipulated by TIIC. I know they want me to like Eve, but do they have to do it at Lucy’s expense? Well, that’s a stupid question. Obviously they have no talent whatsoever and can’t figure out a better way to do it. The worst part, Lucy tries to worm her way out instead of admitting her lack of discretion and begging forgiveness. No I take that back, the worst part is yet to come.
Frank returns home and asks to speak to Courtney. She is to busy distracting Neil. When Frank does confront her she tells him about Neil’s condition. There is half a moment of concern on Frank’s face.
Now that worst part I was mentioning. Lucy is having an outer-inner monologue and finds a way to rationalize her childish behavior by blaming Eve. Katherine gets on the elevator and we are treated to the return of the real Lucy. She and Katherine bicker better than anyone since Alexis and Krystal. Eve gets on the elevator and Lucy’s worst nightmares are realized.
Frank finally gets to ask Courtney where the money is. Is it possible to get a little compassion Frank? This is your “nephew” we are talking about. Even Chris would ask about Neil before moving onto the money issue (all you Chris bashers should remember that at least he has compassion the next time you feel like bashing him).
Kevin asks Lee for help with Julie. Lee agrees.
The fun scene with Kat and Lucy is over the minute Eve gets on the elevator. We are immediately returned to the normal stupid PC dialogue rather then the GH inspired real Lucy and she gets off the elevator. Katherine tells Eve all is set for their surprise at the Ball.
That’s it folks. I am on vacation as of Monday. Have fun watching the Nurse’s Ball. I know I will have fun in Las Vegas. And promise not to miss me too much. TA!
