If you missed Monday's show, you didn't miss anything as far as storyline goes. What you did miss was a couple of cute musical numbers - cute, but not spectacular.
Here's what happened:
Lucy announces the upcoming acts, which includes a hot number by the residents. She reminds the crowd why they are all there - to raise money for the Stone Cates Memorial Wing. She encourages all to dig deep into their pockets.
Backstage, Eve and Katherine can hardly wait to humiliate Lucy.
Chris gets a call from Julie. She still thinks something is wrong with her baby but Chris assures her all is ok. He tells her that he is going to perform soon and is turning off his phone.
Tammy sees Janelle and asks if she is working there. Janelle tells her that her boyfriend is taking her to L.A. and she can't care for her sister's baby any longer. Tammy asks where the mother is. Janelle says she abandoned the baby. Janelle gives a shocked Tammy the baby and splits. Kevin sees Tammy with the baby and Tammy explains what just happened. Kevin goes off to find Janelle. He comes back and says Janelle jumped into a cab. He suggests that Tammy call the cops. Tammy wants to handle this by herself because Janelle was a friend. If she can't, she will notify the cops eventually. Kevin takes a look at the baby and says she can't be more than a week. Tammy asks him to go get Alan for her.
Lucy talks about progress made in AIDS research and stops for a few seconds when she sees DV come in. Scott also notices him. Part of Emily's video is shown. There are interviews with Lucy, Mike, Joe as well as others who appear to be real people, not actors.
Mary goes to hug Joe. She's so proud. Courtney says Neil is lucky to have Joe as his doctor and his father. Joe discusses Neil's condition with Ellen and Matt.
Gail thinks that Joe's speech was moving but Lee wishes he could show as much regard for Karen as he does for his patients.
Lark tells Karen and Frank that she is surprised to see Courtney with Joe. She thought Chris was dating Courtney.
Backstage, Lucy struggles with the zipper on her dress and screams for Amy. Eve and Katherine come along just in time to enjoy watching Lucy panic. Lucy insults their gowns. She goes off and they continue to delight in their plot against her. While Lucy is still struggling elsewhere, DV comes up behind her and fixes her zipper. She tells him to leave her alone. He doesn't think she means it. Otherwise, she wouldn't have made love to him. She claims he took advantage of her. DV says he hasn't felt this way about a woman since Meg. Lucy remembers how Meg felt about DV in the letters and tells him that he's not that man now. DV gets mad and tells her not to push him. DV leaves when Scott comes along.
Alan wants to take the baby up to a suite that he and Monica have for the night. Kevin wants to come along and help examine her, but Alan insists he stay and watch Eve's number.
Joe, Karen, Matt, Ellen, Chris, Eve and about 6 dancers do a cute upbeat number, singing and dancing. Chris looked like he was having the most fun and really hammed it up.
Next we see Victor, Neil, Mary and Serena doing "High Hopes." Every time Serena sings, Lucy looks like she could burst with pride. How could you not like a number that has Serena AND Victor in it?
Alan encourages Tammy to start thinking about what she's going to do with the child.
At Ferncliff, Julie cuddles with the pink blanket and says she knows her baby is in trouble.
Backstage, Lucy tells Scott how thrilled she is that the Nurses' Ball is going well, their life together is getting better and better and soon they'll have their own baby. As they kiss, DV watches.
