Port Charles Update for Thursday, 15-Jul-1999

Today's show opened with the very handsome Frank, rummaging through Chris' place. Frank flashed back to yesterday's show, when he accused Chris of stealing Julie's money. Meanwhile, those pesky elves must be sleeping on the job, because none other than the PC Police Commissioner himself, Mac Scorpio (who's also very handsome) is paying a visit to GH. The very handsome Chris overhears Mac asking a nurse how he might find Lee Baldwin, & of course, Chris has a few sarcastic comments to make about how Mac shouldn't expect an invitation to his & Julie's wedding, since he helped find Julie & put her back in Ferncliff. Mac asks Chris how he's going to like spending his honeymoon at Ferncliff, because that's where Julie's going to be for the rest of her life. Chris tells Mac that Kevin is going to prove that Julie is sane & innocent, & she will be acquitted. Darren Leopold pays a visit to Ferncliff. Julie says it won't be a problem to convince Greg Cooper to say he brainwashed Julie. After all, being transferred to Ferncliff is preferable to life in the State Pen.
Scott & Lucy visit Lee in ICU. All Lucy can do is babble about Christina. Mac arrives & tells them that the judge has agreed to let them start adoption proceedings. But, there's a 6-month waiting period. And, if the birth mother shows up, & proves she's competent, Scott & Lucy could lose custody. Chris catches Frank at his apartment. Frank shows Chris the pre-nuptial agreement he's found. Frank tells Chris that the DL-56 money should be his, because he was Bennett Devlin's guinea pig. Chris tells him to get out. Scott & Lucy tell Serena that they are going to adopt Christina. She's happy. Darren Leopold & Scott exchange angry words. Leopold tells Scott he wants Lee's records. Frank calls Julie. He's still talking about how he deserves the patent money. Julie tells Frank how much Chris means to her, then hangs up on Frank.
Lee is worried about Julie. He says she's "deeply troubled." She needs his help. Scott says what she needs is a lot of shrinks. He tells Lee about Julie's accusations. He vows to help Lee fight.
Julie phones Chris. She's worried because Frank knows about the pre-nup. Chris tells Julie that he's handled Frank before. If he needs to take more drastic action this time, he will. Later, Leopold visits Chris. Chris tells him he's ready to visit Greg Cooper. Leopold reminds Chris that Cooper may be transferred to a minimum security facility, & if so, he may escape. Chris says that by the time that happens, he'll be in Tahiti, too busy counting his millions to care. Frank visits the hospital, & asks Scott why Lee would allow Julie to sign a pre-nup giving Chris half of the DL-56 money. Scott doesn't believe Frank, (because Frank split up Joe & Karen), but Frank seems pretty convincing, so Scott agrees to check it out. He tells Lucy that he thinks he's found a way to help Lee.
