Port Charles Update for Thursday, 5-Aug-1999

Today's show opened at the lighthouse. Kevin & Eve were home from Rome. (Yes, that rhymes.)Kevin tells Eve that he must go over to Mary's & break the news that Victor is dead. Meanwhile, at the Scanlon house, Frank & Neil are having a milkshake drinking contest. Neil wins $5. Courtney tells Frank that it's the first time Neil's had anything to eat or drink in days. Karen arrives to visit Neil, & offers Joe a ride to the hospital. Neil leaves for a friend's house, & Courtney calls Chris to make sure he's going to get a vial like the ones they use in the lab, so that Joe's blood sample can be switched with Neil's father's sample. Chris asks who Neil's dad is. Courtney won't say. At GH, when Chris gives Courtney the vial, he again asks who the father is. Courtney won't say, but Chris says it must be someone in town, or they wouldn't be able to switch blood samples so quickly. Joe & Karen arrive. Joe & Courtney go to the lab to get re-tested. Chris tells Karen that Julie's visiting privileges were restored. Karen says she won't be visiting Julie. Chris says Julie's changed. The "old" Julie is coming back.
Kevin & Eve break the bad news to Mary. Frank arrives at GH, & Courtney gives him the vial. Karen sees Frank & asks what he's doing at GH. He says he's applying for a job. Karen is suspicious.
Then, Joe walks up, & he starts giving Frank a hard time, too. He accuses Frank of stalking Karen. Kevin & Eve discuss Victor with Mary.
Meanwhile, back at GH, Frank gives Courtney his blood sample. Chris almost sees them. Courtney gives the vial containing Frank's blood sample to Chris, to be switched. Mary calls GH, & tells Joe that Victor is dead. Joe catches Frank just as he's about to get on the elevator, & tells him the bad news. They decide to go to Mary's together. And, finally, at the lighthouse, Kevin has a vision of a little boy. He's greatly disturbed by this. "What's happening to me?",he asks Eve.
