Port Charles Update for Monday, 9-Aug-1999

Monday! Let's see if PC was
better than my work day -

Well it starts off with Kevin and
Eve - not very promising there
(okay, okay I promise to behave).
They discuss Kevin's
hallucinations. Kevin's a bit
worried about becoming delusional
again - and well with his track
record who could blame him? Eve
tells Kevin that she still hears
her baby cry at night and she is
glad to have something of him
even if it is a dream. There is
someone at the door and Eve goes
to answer it - and oh it may be a
good PC day after all! - it's
Lucy. Lucy tells Eve that she
just had to come, Eve
acknowledges that Kevin needs his
friends, and Lucy whispers "Oh
Doc" (oh the memories!) and they
hug. Now if Eve would just go
away - I like you lots Eve but
don't your socks need darning or
something?

Scott and Rachel discuss
Christina and how nonjudgmental
babies are (love and a few bucks
is all they need says Scott - he
is obviously talking baby here
cause my teenager needs major
bucks). Rachel thinks they could
be fast friends if they put aside
their Julie differences - but
Scott says he's doesn't do fast
(Tammy wonders since when ).
Slow friends suggests Rachel.
Scott leaves. Ellen has been
watching from the nurses' desk.
Ellen tells Rachel in a very
no-nonsense fashion that Scott is
taken. So there.

Ellen warns Rachel away from
Scott but Rachel turns the
conversation over to the subject
of Julie. Rachel asks Ellen to
please visit Julie who needs all
the friends she can get (I'd say)
and Ellen agrees to think about
it. Ellen still is trying to
remember where she knows Rachel
from. Chris appears as Ellen
leaves, and Rachel and Chris have
a short and sweet conversation
about kindness or some such.
Eve leaves! (thank you thank you
thank you - the check is in the
mail). Lucy still feels Victor
is with them, and Kevin agrees.
He has Lucy to thank for that
because Lucy pushed him to
reenter Victor's life (oh gee
whiz how very non-KMSly of him).

Kevin tells Lucy that Victor
would have loved knowing she came
to the Lighthouse. Lucy loved
Victor. Kevin laughs, thinking
about Lucy and Victor being
"partners in crime." Lucy
mentions she should have called
first (boy that brings back old
memories). Victor loved Lucy's
impulses says Kevy. Kevin
doesn't regret a moment he spent
with Lucy and goes on to state
that some people are always meant
to be in each others lives (Okay
a plea to tptb - not that they
actually listen to the fans - but
if Kevin and Lucy can't be lovers
- and I said IF - can they at
least be honest and truly
friends? It's such a shame to
waste that much chemistry.) Lucy
asks "Doc" what she can do for
him. Kevin is just trying to
live with it.

Kevin tells Lucy he'll
concentrate on his new novel and
working with Julie. Oh - says
Lucy - guess you haven't heard
yet. Lucy tells Kevin that he's
been replaced by Rachel Locke who
tried to get her on the we love
Julie bandwagon. Kevin's not
surprised he was the last to
know. Kevin has to cut things
short - he needs to find out what
is going on. Thus our Kevin and
Lucy moment ends - but my it was
great while it lasted.

Oh - there is more show. Oh
well. Let's see - Julie calls
Scott. Julie explains how she is
all innocent and all and wants to
apologize to those she hurt
emotionally (gee do you think it
hurt Lucy's feelings when Julie
holed her up in that wall?).
Christina makes a noise and Julie
asks several questions about her
but Scott yells at Julie to not
call again and hangs up.
Probably not his smartest move.
Eve tells best bud Chris about
Victor's passing. She also tells
him that Kevin has had a vision
of a little boy and Victor.
Chris's advice is to run out of
the house as quickly as possible
- Kevin after all does have a
stalkerish past. Eve is not
scared of Kevin but worried for
him. Chris asks if she can't be
both.

Eve gets all freaked out and
Chris backs down saying it's
probably too early to get worried
about the state of Kevin's mind.
Chris tells Eve that Kevin has
been replaced as Julie's
therapist. Kevin is visiting
Julie. She needed to make a few
changes, Kevin wonders about her
ability to deal with the outside
world. Julie is ready to stand
trial. Kevin is scornful of a
psychiatrist that quickly makes
promises of a competency win.
Rachel would like to have a word
with Kevin outside. Uh-oh.

Rachel thinks Julie is innocent.
Pretty much. Kevin chides Rachel
for presuming to know what he is
thinking. (I don't think Kevy
likes Rachel much.) Rachel lists
her credentials for Kevin. Eve
yells at Chris for getting Kevin
dumped. Eve wonders what will
happen to all of them if Chris
does succeed in getting Julie
released. Lucy comes home.
Scott is glad Lucy went over and
supported Kevin. Lucy gives
Scott a thank you for being so
understanding kiss. They discuss
Rachel and Julie. Lucy would
never believe Julie was innocent
- unless Kevin said that she was.
Rachel advises Julie to keep
things friendly with Kevin.
Rachel, once alone, makes a
mysterious phone call telling the
mystery person that she is making
great strides with Julie, none at
all with Scott and Lucy, and that
Kevin is a smart guy (duh) but
that when Kevy investigates her
credentials he will find
everything on the up and up.
Things that make you go hmmmmm.
