Port Charles Update for Wednesday, 18-Aug-1999

Today's show opened at the Nurse's Station, with Rachel & Matt making small talk. Chris & Ellen walked up. Ellen asked Matt if she could talk to him alone. He asked if it was concerning a case. She said no, & he refused to talk to her. He exits, & Ellen exits. Chris then tells Rachel that he told Matt about Ellen sleeping with Sebastian. Eve is still under hypnosis, from yesterday. She remembers being kidnapped, blindfolded, & in a dark place. And, she remembers them taunting her about the baby she lost. Meanwhile, at the firehouse, the "voice" on the phone tells Scott to "prepare for a life without love." Scott's convinced it's DV, but Garcia thinks it may be Julie. After all, she used a voice activator before. Lucy thinks Garcia may be onto something.
Matt tells Ellen that Chris is the one who informed him of her rendezvous with Sebastian. Rachel overhears this, & tells Chris that she certainly didn't suggest that he tell Matt the truth. She was just trying to warn Chris to be careful of Matt. Chris told Rachel that she made it sound as if it were his "moral obligation" to tell Matt. Rachel tells Chris he got the wrong impression, & that Ellen could make things very difficult for him. Chris appreciates Rachel looking out for him. She says she's just trying to be a friend. Eve & Kevin make a list of all the inconsistencies between what Eve remembers from being hypnotized, & what they remember from their trip to Italy, & what Mac told them. They decide Kevin needs to be hypnotized,too. He phones Gail, & she comes over.
Later, Ellen accuses Chris of taking pictures of her & Sebastian together, or bugging her apartment. Chris tells her he overheard her conversation with Sebby at the Nurse's Desk. Matt wheels up & tells Ellen that how he found out isn't the issue. Ellen betrayed him. Rachel again reminds Chris to be careful. He tells her that Matt & Ellen had it coming from him for a long time.
Garcia tells Scott that because the caller used sophisticated computer equipment, the strange phone call cannot be traced. They agree that there's no way Julie would have access to that kind of equipment at Ferncliff. Gail hypnotizes Kevin, & he becomes very distressed because he needs to help Eve. Eve makes Gail bring Kevin out of the hypnosis. Later, after Garcia leaves, Scott tells Lucy he wants her to take Serena & Christina, & get out of town.
And, last but not least, Rachel invites Ellen for a cup of coffee. That conversation should be interesting. Tune in Tomorrow.......
