Port Charles Update for Friday, 27-Aug-1999

Hi PC fans,

Here's today's update:

Mumbles asks Courtney to have a child with him. She thinks he's only asking because he's desperate. (Duh)

Dr. Locke informs Kevin that she's going to be Victor's therapist because Gail is out of town. Kevin doesn't want her as his therapist, but he lets her work with him. Rachel asks Mary to sing When Irish Eyes Are Smiling. She wanted to see if it would work. Mary sings and Victor makes eye contact. Ellen still insists that she knows Rachel but still can't figure out where. Ellen tells Kevin that she's considering taking the job in San Francisco. Kevin asks about Matt. Ellen tells him that Matt wants to try and work things out but she's not sure that's what she wants anymore. Kevin wants her to stay because he would miss her.

Courtney asks Mumbles how Karen feels about them having a baby together. She decides to do it if it would save Neil. She then calls Frank and asks to see him.

Scott and Lucy calls Karen at the hospital. Karen tells him that DV might be behind Neil's medication mixup. They want Karen to join them but she refuses. Karen then tells them that Victor is alive. Mumbles tells Karen that Courtney agrees to have a child with him.

Courtney daydreams about her and Joe being a family. Neil wants to show off "Baby Joey" to everyone. Baby is cute. Frank arrives at the hospital. Courtney asks Frank to have another child with her to save Neil. She still wants him to pretend that his child is Joe's. (Duh, this is NOT helping Neil). Frank isn't happy. Frank starts to rant and Karen overhears him. She starts to defend Mumbles.

Ellen is on the phone trying to get any information about Dr. Locke.

Rachel leaves Victor's room. Kevin expresses his feelings about her to Eve. Kevin isn't comfortable with her as Victor's therapist.

Frank wants to straighten things out with Karen but she doesn't want to hear it. Frank tells her that she's making a mistake. Karen tells him that he needs help and that she won't be giving it to him. She tells him to leave her alone.

Rachel asks Ellen for coffee. She refuses but mentions that she finally figured out where she knows her from. Rachel wants to know but Ellen refuses to tell her and then Ellen gets paged to the ER. (BTW, this is Ellen last airdate). Rachel looks worried.

Victor says "he's not really dead, must tell monk". Karen comes home to find that her apartment was ransacked.
