Oh can’t you just feel the anticipation in the air? Wedding days are so darn special.

Chris is busy working – wow he’s a doctor and he’s at the hospital and actually working. How novel. Rachel comes by and tells Chris it’s tux getting time. Chris and Julie have a marriage license and all systems are go – Kevin and Mac failed to get the wedding stopped. (Oh my gosh – does this make my Kevy a failure?). In fact, says Rachel, Chris and Julie can get married today. Today? Says a momentarily (I am sure) underwhelmed Chris. Rachel points out that romance belongs in fairy tales but practicality – which would include Chris being unforceable to testify at Julie’s trial –demands a quickie wedding. Rachel has some mysterious errands; Chris calls Julie to tell her he never did like her name.

Kevin enters the Lighthouse all unhappyish. Eve can’t believe that Chris is starring in the I Married an Ax Murderer sequel. Kevin has a plan. DV has a lurker – Scott. Scott needs a shave and has an instrument of torture in his hands (okay I hate shots.) Eve calls Chris to congratulate him on his being able to be killed – er – married. Today is the wedding says Chris. Today echoes Eve in near panic condition. Eve orders Chris to pick up his best man. Julie oh so sanely tells the walls that she is getting married. She envisions a wedding with her all dressed in white (yeah right) and Chris very handsomely dressed in a tux. Rachel is the maid/matron/psychiatrist of honor. Chris kisses Julie – but Julie thinks it’s all wrong. (Yeah that would be my first thought if Chris kissed me – NOT). Julie needs Christina. She then walks over to the Firehouse where she and Lucy discuss who loves Christina and whom she belongs with. When a tearful Lucy says she will die without Christina, the ever so reformed Julie basically says good. Julie is so wrapped up in her visions that Rachel has to call her name more than once to bring her back to earth.

Rachel is a bearer of gifts including a strand of pearls. Your Mother’s? Asks Julie. No, Grandmother’s says the mysterious Rachel. It is both something old and something borrowed. Something blue is a garter belt. And new is a brand-new all whitish wedding dress. Julie tries to thank Rachel but Rachel won’t let her. What modesty.

Kevin arrives for the wedding – only problem is he wasn’t invited. Rachel and Kevy exchange looks and words. DV sleeps until Scott almost has him all shot (with the needle) and then knocks it out of Scott’s hand. Scott announces his intentions to kill DV. No comment about how Scott is – or rather isn’t – using his brain cells instead of his Neanderthal tendencies. Gee was that a comment after all?

Rachel and Kevin take their debate out of the room. Rachel accuses Kevin of obsession (as if that would be a bad thing.) Kevin insists he is only concerned. Rachel wonders where in the hell Kevin gets off trying to control Julie. Kevin chides her for that comment. Rachel really cares about Julie and allows Kevin to see her. Julie insists she is marrying Chris because she loves him. Kevin believes her – but also believes that the ‘union” began as a money/freedom exchange (my Doc is oh so brilliant.) Kevin warns that Chris won’t keep his end of the bargain – she will end up stranded in Ferncliff. He announces that Chris only cares about himself. Julie replies that Kevin really knows how to hurt a girl.

Chris comes to the Lighthouse looking mighty fine. Eve is almost ready – just has to pick out some earrings. After all she is Eve Lamberth and therefore must always look good. (Still no comment – I am being so good today.) Eve suggests they ditch the wedding for a couple of martinis. When Eve comments that all Chris is getting out of the marriage is money, money, and more money (I can’t see that’s a bad thing) Chris replies that Eve has never seen him deeply, truly in love. Blind Eve admits she hasn’t. Chris insists that he loves Julie – that she is the only woman that has seen his heart. Eve, untouched, is still determined to stop the wedding (but I really really really like the sincere side of Chris.)

DV and Scott stage the most staged fight I have ever had the misfortune to watch. Anyway DV is going to have someone kill Scott – yada yada yada – Scott sticks DV with the needle and he’s all happy. Scott, not DV. DV is all unconscious.

Rachel informs Kevin that he has totally struck out because Julie is going through with the wedding. Undenimed Julie shows up – all dressed and ready to go. The judge comes, they agree to let Kevin stay – all that is missing is the groom. Oh and the best man who arrives all alone. Where is Chris? Changed his mind says the resident wedding stopper Eve.

Chris yells from the Lighthouse closet that Eve can’t keep him locked up.

That’s all he wrote folks – now if you will excuse me I have a closet to lock myself into.
