Port Charles Update for Wednesday, 22-Sep-1999

In Courtney's hospital room, she and Frank have obviously bonded over what they have just shared to save Neil's life. But still, they are reluctant to let each other know that the lovemaking was good for them. When Frank leaves Courtney's room, he has a flashback of bringing Courtney to bed. In her bed, Courtney fantasizes about being married to Joe, with Neil in remission and a baby son. She and Joe are all starry-eyed with each other and do a lot of smooching. As she is dreaming about kissing Joe in the hospital, Joe turns into Frank. She snaps out of it and tries to convince herself that Joe is the only one for her.

In Neil's room, he and Frank are playing a game. Neil is excited because he just got high score. Frank tries to give Neil some hope about recovery. Frank has his turn at a fantasy. He and Courtney are a couple. She is showering him with compliments about his being a father, his sexual prowess and they start kissing. Frank goes back to Courtney's room. She is sure she is pregnant with his baby. When Frank mentions Dr. Neumann, she says she knows she became pregnant last night. They both stroke her tummy. Dr. Neumann comes in and asks Courtney if Frank is her boyfriend. Courtney and Frank both instantly say no. When Frank leaves, Courtney explains that Frank is Joe's brother. Dr. Neumann says she was curious because she saw him with Courtney so often. Dr. Neumann warns Courtney not to get her hopes up about being pregnant after the first try, but Courtney is still sure she's expecting. When Dr. Neumann leaves, Frank returns to an excited glowing Courtney. Frank would like to be as excited as she is. He's thrilled that they may have created a donor to save Neil's life, but he still wishes he could let Neil and the baby know that he's their father. He enjoys being a father to Lark and wants to be a total father to his biological children. (wait till he finds out how many he has.) Maybe it also should be noted that in one of these scenes it was mentioned that a sibling has only a 50% chance of being a donor.

Scott bursts into DV's Lake Raines cottage and finds Lucy on the floor. Rachel follows him in. She checks Lucy's vitals and she is ok. When Lucy can speak, she tells them she has a headache from being hit on the head. Scott wants to know what she was doing there. She says she could tell from his voice that there was trouble. When she came home, she saw Lake Raines written on a pad at the firehouse. She knew DV had a home there so went directly there. It was DV who hit her. Rachel thinks she should press charges but Scott disagrees. Rachel goes outside to get her medical bag. Scott admits to Lucy that he came there tonight to kill DV but changed his mind. Rachel comes to the door just in time to hear him talk about wanting to kill DV. Rachel leaves. Scott tells Lucy he can't understand how DV got out of the ropes. He then shows her the picture of the boy. Scott suspects he may be DV's son. Lucy takes a closer look at the photo. She recognizes the couch the boy is sitting on. It's the one in the Collins home on Jasmine Island. Lucy remembers that DV had toys in his NY apartment. He said they belonged to the maid's kid. Out in the woods, DV and Rachel talk to each other on their cell phones. DV thanks Rachel for untying the ropes. Rachel warns him that Scott is looking for him. Rachel asks him why he didn't kill Lucy. He says he has other plans for her. When he informs Rachel about Scott having the picture of the boy, she replies that that could be a problem.
