Port Charles Update for Friday, 15-Oct-1999

Lucy is at GH looking over the profits from this year's Nurses' Ball. Julie calls her on her cell phone. She tells Lucy that she had a dream where Christina was in danger. She pretends that the guards at Ferncliff won't let her use the phone any longer and asks Lucy to come to see her. Lucy agrees. At Ferncliff, Julie tells Lucy that she dreamed about Lucy and Christina in the park. Christina was on a swing. A wind came up and all of a sudden a man came and took Christina away. Lucy was lying on the ground, looking like she was hurt, but the man ignored her. Then she woke up. Lucy says she's sure that Christina is safe. She appreciates Julie's call but tells her to never call again. Julie says if Lucy cares about her baby, she'll stay. Julie tries to convince Lucy that she thinks of her frequently and has warm feelings for her. Lucy sees right through her. She reminds Julie that she tried to kill her by bricking her up in the wall. Julie claims Greg made her do it. Julie hopes that if she can help her and her baby, maybe Lucy will forgive her. She asks to see a picture of Christina but Lucy says the guards wouldn't permit her to bring her purse into the room. Julie digs and digs until Lucy tells her about Christina. As Julie tells Lucy how wonderful it must be that Christina is happy with her, we can see that her heart is breaking. Julie asks Lucy is she ever wonders about Christina's birth mother. Lucy says the mother must be good because Christina is such a beautiful child. Lucy tells Julie that Serena and Christina are out of town. Julie becomes agitated. Before Lucy leaves, Julie asks her to come back again. Lucy admits that Julie seems to have improved.

Neil is looking at a photograph of Frank and Joe. Neil thinks it's cool that Karen can carry so many plates at a time. Joe teases Karen. Courtney interrupts and tells Neil it is bedtime. Neil convinces Joe to read to him for fifteen minutes. Neil asks Karen to come up to his room with Joe and Courtney but Karen apparently thinks she would be intruding and says she'll stay downstairs and clean up. Later, Joe comes back and expresses his frustration to Karen. He doesn't like lying to Neil and give him false hopes. Karen thinks he isn't doing anything wrong. They all have to stay optimistic. Joe and Karen embrace. Courtney sees them hugging and kissing goodbye. Courtney tells Joe that Neil should not have found out about the baby the way he did. Courtney blames Karen. Joe sticks up for Karen. Courtney accepts Karen's presence in their lives. Joe is hugging her as Frank comes through the door and orders Joe to get his hands off of her. Courtney tells Frank that it's not what it looks like. Frank and Joe quarrel. Joe says that Frank has the hots for Courtney. Joe gets a call from the hospital and has to leave. He tells Courtney to keep Frank away from Neil while he's in this mood. Courtney tells Frank that he is a good man and that she realizes she has asked him to do the impossible - keeping quiet about his two kids. Frank says he wants to explode when Joe gets in his face about "his" two kids. Courtney says she's sorry. Frank doesn't think she is. If she was, she would let him tell the truth.

Kevin and Eve are still outdoors, half-undressed, basking in the afterglow. Kevin says he has missed her so much. They both can't imagine being separated for a long time. Eve has flashbacks of DV telling her she'll never see her son if she tells Kevin about the letters. Kevin says it is important for them to find Victor's letters. He suspects DV may be looking for them also. Kevin explains how Scott saw the website address and Kevin and Victor went there and found all the equations. Victor may have sent important information in letters to Kevin. They tore the lighthouse apart but couldn't find them. Eve offers to look but Kevin says no. He hopes Scott will find the letters in the convent. They get dressed and Eve leaves. Kevin finds her cell phone on the ground and calls after her but she doesn't hear. Since Eve had told him that she was going to work at the hospital, Kevin stops by to return her phone. A nurse tells him that Eve hasn't been there but he can leave the phone in Eve's box. He says he'll return it to her at her apartment. Unfortunately, DV is at Eve's door. Eve lets DV inside. Eve wants to know if her son is in PC. DV says he is only in her dreams until she finds those letters. She tells DV that nobody knows where they are. She wants him to leave before Chris gets home. DV replies that Chris is in surgery and that he and Eve have business to discuss. DV talks to someone on the phone and finds out that Scott has disappeared. DV asks Eve if she knows where Scott is. DV asks her if she has searched the lighthouse for the letters. She reminds him she has no reason to be there these days. DV taunts her, reminding her of how she wants to see her son. They argue loudly just as Kevin comes to the door. Kevin hears Eve say: "I am doing everything you asked me to do!"
