Why couldn't I have requested yesterday????? *whine*

Today, we started with Courtney and Lark discussing Frank's leaving. Courtney admitted that Frank is the only friend she has.
Lark asked her why the constant fighting.
"Yeah, well, relationships get more complicated as you get older."
"Frank says everything's complicated with you."
Courtney told Lark that she would take that up with him later, then runs out the door to get him.

Airport:
Frank was sitting alone, remembering Courtney:
telling him that it was nice being with someone that knew her so well and kissing him
announcing she was pregnant
He was inturrupted by the PA system telling passengers that the flight he booked for Hawaii is leaving.

Hospital:
Rachel looked like the cat that ate the canary when she told Chris that they had a new CR. Monica and Boardman followed and they gave the job to Karen in front of Joe and Matt.
Joe formally introdued a very embarrassed Karen CR to everyone in the room.
Chris and Rachel were watching from the Nurses' Station.
"Well, are you going to skywrite over the firehouse that you engineered Karen's promotion?"
"No, I thought I'd write it across my chest."
Chris was actually a little shocked, I think. "Well, he'll definitely notice it there."
Rachel told him that she was going to let Scott find out on his own.
Chris told her not to 'butter up Baldwin' until Julie could claim Christina. Rachel replied that Julie was on her way, and she was going to pass the review with flying colors.

Ferncliff:
Rachel was so positive, that something had to be going on. Julie was trying to get Chris on the phone, ranting about Christina not being back with Lucy and Chris lying to her about it.
"You're going to fix it because you're the only one beside me who knows that Christina's my baby. Mine. Not her horrifyingness, the queen of spandex, Lucy." Not finding Chris, she left a message for Chris to call his 'loving wife' (very sarcastically spoken).

Hospital:
Rachel congratulated Karen, who joked about a cashier's check ready and waiting. Monica publicly stated that Rachel was Karen's biggest supporter. Chris handed out whistles and, for Matt, a paper party hat, to celebrate.
After the crowd was gone, Karen reveled in 'the bet' she and Joe made. Her winning chore: BALLROOM DANCING! Joe's face was priceless.

Chris returned Julie's call, and Julie layed into him about not tellin her about Christina. Chris ran to Ferncliff, telling Rachel to reschedule the evalutation. "We could be in big trouble."

Airport:
Courtney found Frank, and, speechless, slapped him to 'get his attention.
When Frank asked her why, she told him he owed her $50 and he was going to skip out without paying her. And when had he developed an urge to hula.
"Fish. And it was your idea when you told me I should take a long vacation." He was still confused.
"Well, that was before. When I wanted to get rid of you."
"And now."
She paused, looking everywhere before looking in his eyes. "No I don't."

This updater is joining the Feel Sorry For Frank group here.

You could see how much he was hurting when he told Courtney that the only way he could keep his promise to Neil (the one about not fighting with Joe) was to leave. Every time he saw Joe playing 'dad' to his kid, he wanted to put his fist through Joe's face.
Courtney told Frank that he could do anything he put his mind to and gave his ego a real stroking.
Frank wouldn't hear of it.
Courtney got desperate. "What if I asked you to stay?" Then she backpedaled. "For Neil." Giving him almost the same speech she gave Joe to try to get him to stay last year, she made her desire to see Frank stay in PC all about Neil.
Frank told her that if Neil needed her, he would come back.
Then it was time for Courtney's trump card. "And what about this baby? You said you wanted to be there from the start."
"You have Joe for that."
Finally, Courtney got honest. "I want you." (meaning to be there for her) Her reasons were that Frank was the only one that knew her.
Frank put her on the spot again about being honest about the real father of Neil and the baby.
Not wanting to, Courtney continued to blame Neil's 'not being strong enough' to continue to lie.
Finally she looked at him. "If I ask you to stay, is it enough?"
"No. It's not." Frank walked away from her.

Ferncliff:
Chris and Rachel came in the room. Julie wanted Rachel to leave, but she wouldn't.
Julie layed into Chris, telling him how betrayed she felt. That he had lied, betrayed, and plotted against her.
When Rachel tried to intervene, Julie accused her of being on Chris's side, and she couldn't trust anyone anymore.
Finally, Rachel stared Julie in the eyes and told her that she knew Christina was Julie's.
Of course, Julie thought Chris had told her. Being Julie, she attacked Chris, trying to hit him.

Scanlon House:
Frank came back, to not miss the opportunity to watch Courtney turn into a beached whale.
It was fun watching them skirt around the fact that they really care about each other. Excuses like 'not enough underwear', and 'Hawaii's not as nice as in the pictures' (it is, but that's another story).
As Frank left the room, Courtney promised him that she would do her best to make things as easy as possible for him.
"Nothing's ever easy with you, Courtney.

GH:
Joe arrived with a tux and dress for his and Karen's ballroom dancing. He'd already set it up, and he intended to give her a night she'd never forget. Smiling, they left the hospital arm and arm.

Ferncliff:
Julie was standing in front of the window, telling the orderly she wanted to go back to her room. Rachel asked for the chance to explain.
Rachel told Julie that she figured out the truth on her own.
Julie knew how. "The day I flipped out over Scott and Lucy leaving town with Christina."
Rachel did NOT like her choice of words. "You did not flip out. You were expressing pure, honest, emotion. Pain losing your child. Fear for not knowing where she went or if she was safe or not."
Julie pointed out that she thought Rachel was telling the truth when Rahcel said she believed that Julie had made it up.
Again, Rachel covered her tracks, this time by telling Julie that no one could fake the kind of emotion Julie had shown, and, since Julie didn't want her to know, she went along with it. But now, givin the stakes, and the state Julie was in, it was time for the truth.
Rachel went as far as to promise Julie that she could reunite her with Christina.
"Why? Why do you care so much?"
"I think every child deserves to be loved by it's parents." Rachel was looking very emotional here. I don't know if it was to get through to Julie, or some foreshadow of what Rachel was really in PC for.
It worked. "There's nothing more I want than to be with Christina."
Rachel told her the way to do it was to get through the hearing.
Julie went on a total tirade that she couldn't do it when all she could think about was Christina.
Where is she
Who's taking care of her
When she's coming back
If she's coming back

Rachel put a stop to it by all but yelling in her face that Julie had no choice. She had to. If she ever wanted to be with Christina. She made Julie say she could do it. Julie started to say it when Dr. Davis entered the room.
