Port Charles Update for Friday, 22-Oct-1999

Eve is looking over the picture that Serena made for her with a magnifying glass. Someone is at the door. She looks through the peephole. It's DV. She opens the door and he pushes his way in. She is worried that someone will see him. He wants the letters. She says she doesn't have them. He tells her Scott's children are back in town. She is outraged that he would even think of doing anything to them. DV says that once he has the letters, Eve will see her son and the Baldwin girls will be safe.

At the firehouse, Scott tells Serena that she'll be having a tutor instead of going to her school. He tries to cheer her up by reminding her of the fun they had in Canada when it was just the two of them. Eve comes by. When Serena leaves the room, Eve tells Scott that DV visited her and said he knew that Serena and Christina are back in town. Eve tells Scott that even though DV mentioned that Scott wasn't very smart to bring the kids back to Port Charles, she doesn't think he'll make any moves. She thinks he just wants to manipulate her. He knows that Eve would tell Scott and DV wants to rattle Scott. Scott leaves. Eve stays to babysit for Serena. Eve shows Serena one of the collages. She asks Serena where she got the stamps from France. Serena looks nervous. Eve encourages her to tell but Serena thinks she'll be in trouble because she took something that didn't belong to her. Serena says she hid the envelopes in a crack in the living room closet in the lighthouse. Eve promises not to tell Scott and hugs Serena.

Lucy, Aunt Charlene and Christina return to Lucy's hotel room from shopping. Aunt Charlene tells Lucy that although she has changed in some ways, she is still like the little girl she raised who was always seeking approval. She thinks Lucy is a wonderful mother. Lucy says she couldn't love the girls more if she was their biological mother. It must be the way Charlene felt about her. Charlene answers the door. It's DV. Charlene tells him she knows who he is and he has no business there. Lucy sends Charlene out of the room with the baby. DV tells Lucy that he was checking to make sure she's ok after her breakup with Scott. He insists that what he had with Lucy was real. After DV leaves, Aunt Charlene offers to take the kids back to the farm. But they quickly agree that DV would know where the girls were. They decide to stay and face the fight just like when Lucy was a kid. Aunt Charlene says that Edward always had a soft spot for her. Maybe they can get him to evict DV from the Port Charles hotel.

Scott visits Kevin at the lighthouse. He wants Lucy to get a message about DV. Lucy and the girls may not be safe now that DV knows where they are. Kevin and Scott are both worried that DV has contacted Eve more than once. Maybe it's because he thinks she's vulnerable since the breakup. Scott thinks that maybe Eve is keeping something from them. Kevin doesn't like his insinuations and says he's bashing Eve again. Kevin doesn't think Eve is lying. Scott stresses that he didn't say Eve was *lying*.

Scott returns to the firehouse. He asks Eve is they are still friends and reminds her that she can tell him anything. They both have serious looks on their faces. Scott tells her that he thought she may want to confide in someone she isn't sleeping with. Eve is glad he still coniders her a friend. She adds that she hopes he'll always think of her as a friend. Scott looks sad as Eve leaves.

Aunt Charlene and Lucy decide not to do anything to antagonize DV. Kevin arrives to give Lucy the message from Scott. Aunt Charlene and Kevin meet each other for the first time. Lucy wants to move into the lighthouse with Aunt Charlene and Christina. She thinks it will help convince everyone that they are a couple. She also thinks the lighthouse would be safer than the hotel.

Eve lets herself into the lighthouse. She has a flashback of her and Kevin kissing there. She goes to the living room closet, opens it, and looks inside.
