Lucy is sitting at the desk at the Lighthouse looking for something to write with; instead she finds Eve’s journal. Maybe she should look. Oh no, it’s private she shouldn’t. She resists temptations for all of 2 seconds – wow a new record – and then gives in. In a very unbright moment, she settles in a chair out in the middle of the open to read the journal. Kevin – this is a shocker – comes by at that exact same moment. I bet you didn’t see that coming! He wonders if she’s looking for steamy sex scenes. Are they in here? Ask Lucy kinda hopefully. Kevin doesn’t know cause he doesn’t read Eve’s private things. Spoilsport.

Victor informs Scott that he doesn’t even remember writing the letters – that’s how sick he was. Scott can’t wait until they can block generated psychic projections (I bet Scott never envisioned uttering those words until a few months ago). Victor thinks it’s a miracle that Eve found the letters. Scott doesn’t seem quite as inspired. Eve informs DV she did everything he asked her to. Well except for that part about delivering him the letters. DV coolly informs Eve that she had her chance and she blew it and so now his men will finish the job. Oh but Eve wants to break into the Lighthouse – she begs for the chance to do it. DV has men that are specially trained to break into Lighthouses – he’s going to send them. And if they have to use force to accomplish their mission he tells an aghast Eve, then so be it. (Okay he touches one hair on my Kevy’s head and he’ll be singing soprano the rest of his life!) DV doesn’t need Eve anymore.

Eve thinks DV had no intention of keeping the bargain. She makes a threat – he makes a threat. Mac Scorpio’s awe-inspiring name is brought up. DV doesn’t understand why Eve is so concerned about Kevin. Because she still cares replies Eve. Oh says DV – you care so much for Kevin you are willing to lie to him, steal from him, and break into his happy home. Eve would do anything for her son (you know that’s one plot point I really think I understand - really I do. I just I could go through one episode without someone explaining it to me AGAIN. No one has that much ironing to do) Lucy insists she wasn’t snooping. Really asks Kevin? What was it then? Curiosity, Lucy replies (a tad lamely). After all she’s always been curious. Maybe Eve said something about her Nurses’ Ball performance. Kevin points out that Eve is always happy to tell Lucy what she thinks about her to her face. Kevin – no moss growing under his stones – knows that what Lucy was really doing is detectively trying to find why Eve lied about the letters. Lucy admits he is right. This doesn’t make Kevin happy. Eve didn’t lie he says. She didn’t tell the whole truth either – she says. Kevin accuses Lucy of being upset that Eve – and not she – was the letter-finding hero. Kevin points out that he and Lucy are on the same side (oh yes) and Lucy feels compelled to add Scott’s name to the list and Kevin tops her by adding Eve’s.

Kevin does grudgingly admit that Eve should have told them about the letters – but believes Eve that she was only trying to protect scared Serena. He walks away from Lucy and Lucy comes behind him coming thisclose to touching him. (My favorite moment of the show personally – have I mentioned that I am a K/L Schmuck?) Lucy admires the way Kevin was defending Eve – it reminds her of the way he used to defend her. Kevin turns around – yes people make mistakes. Lucy – very honestly – tells Kevin she simply doesn’t want him to make another one by trusting someone else who ends up betraying him. Kevin has to believe Eve won’t do that to him.

The formula works! Victor can now block projected psychic whatevers (I bet you are relieved – the world is safe again.) He remarks that it is incredibly lucky that Eve found the letters. Scott believes Eve is playing both sides against the other. After our friendly commercial break, its apparent Scott has filled Victor in on the missing letters saga. Victor finds the Eve allegations disturbing. But Scott has figured it all out (and may I add – way to go Scott! You rock!) He believes DV is dangling a son-carrot in front of Eve. Victor knows Eve’s son is dead – but realizes it is possible DV convinced her otherwise. Victor remembers Eve asking about his reunion with Kevin. How was it asks Scott? It was like pieces of Victor had been put together – and he was once again whole. Victor and Scott can understand why Eve is doing what she is doing – but Scott can’t help but be disappointed she didn’t trust them with the truth.

Eve pops up at the Lighthouse and tells a rather irritable Lucy that she blew kisses at DV’s goon. Lucy reiterates how important it is to keep the switch sham going. Kevin asks that she not yell so loud and Lucy apologizes and leaves (oh please don’t go – please don’t make me write about Eve and Kevin alone together) but before she does asks her Doc to tell Eve how important the sham is. She leaves – even after I begged her not to - and Kevin dutifully repeats what she said to Eve. (The rest of this scene is repeated through gritted teeth – and is as nice as I can possible make it – have I mentioned how much I enjoy seeing Kevin and Lucy together?) Eve wonders if Kevin wants her to leave – he answers her with a kiss. Eve came to apologize again but Kevin insists there is no need. Oh but Eve feels the need to. She feels she goes too far to protect the people she loves – Kevin thinks there is no such thing. They discuss her little Alice-like foray into the basement. Kevin admits to being a man of mystery. (Just like Austin Powers – wow!) More secret talk. (Is the scene over yet? I can only be so nice for so long) Kevin gives her back her journal – which turns out to be nothing more than notes about kidney and liver diseases. Kevin didn’t know that – cause he didn’t read it – cause gosh dang it he trusts Eve (another point that yes, I promise Scott H, I do understand.) Kevin gives Eve a much needed hug and remarks that something is not right with her, and when she wants to tell him he will listen (now would be good cause then this storyline could end!)

Victor sends the code over the CIA. Scott wants to protect Eve but DV has put him into the position he can’t protect anyone. Bad man. Bad bad man. Hey says Scott – let’s use DV using Eve against DV (got that? Good) They agree they can’t tell Eve – or Kevin. Eve (who is apparently so committed to keeping the switcheroo a secret that she spent the night with Kevin at the Lighthouse) recalls what DV and Kevin told her that day. She sneaks out of bed leaving a shirtless Kevin all alone – all alone – all alone in that big, big bed. Without a shirt. Uh – where was I? She looks for the letters as Lucy watches. What are you looking for now asks Ms. Lucy.

And that is the end.
