At the Scanlons', Courtney spills some tea on herself. Joe is worried that she is stressed because Frank is hitting on her. Courtney says it's not like that at all. Joe wants to tell Frank to move out today. Courtney reminds him that Frank owns half the house. Frank overhears, enters and tells Joe that absolutely nothing is going on between him and Courtney. Joe suggests to Courtney that she leave for a while so that he can talk to Frank. Courtney tells him that he doesn't understand - she doesn't want Frank to leave. Courtney pleads Frank's case. Joe can't understand why. He wants one good reason why he shouldn't ask Frank to leave. Courtney says Neil loves him. He's an incredible uncle. When Frank comes in, Joe wants to have words with him but leaves instead. Courtney and Frank have the same old conversation about her telling the truth about Neil to Joe. Frank points out that she can't even tell the truth about his and her relationship. They get mad at each other and Courtney walks out in a huff. Later, Karen comes by. She and Joe get playful with each other and wind up kissing on the couch. When Frank sees them, he makes some sarcastic remarks. Joe says he'd ask him to leave, if it weren't for Neil and Lark. Frank says he is moving out. While Frank is packing, Karen reminds Joe how he and Frank were in happier times. She can't change his mind. When Courtney comes home and sees all the luggage Frank has packed, she remarks that he is bringing a lot to Atlantic City. He tells her he's moving out. Courtney reminds Joe that they agreed that Frank didn't have to move out. Karen says it was Frank's decision. Courtney says she wants Frank to stay. Joe tells her not to worry about Neil. Courtney struggles with herself to tell the truth but finally says it's not about Neil. She and Frank are dating.
Eve watches DV as he talks business on the phone. She flashes back to telling Lucy and Scott that DV will hold her responsible when he finds out the letters are fake. Eve tells DV that she wants to see her son. DV says she has to wait till he can verify the authenticity of the letters. She leaves. Kevin has been waiting for her down the hall. Eve tells him that DV seems to think the letters are authentic but he won't let her see her son until the letters are verified. Eve tells Kevin her son's name is David. She says that knowing his name makes him so real. She reminds Kevin that he told her he'd do anything to help her get her son back.
Lucy and Scott are cozy on the couch. Lucy is looking at a photo of Serena and wishes she could be with her, but Serena is with Lee and Gail. She wonders if Eve is with her son right now. Scott doubts that DV would let Eve see her son so easily. They kiss. Rachel watches from the window next to the front door. She rings the bell. When Scott answers, she says she hopes she wasn't interrupting anything. Lucy says she is there to get Serena. Rachel says she admires how they are handling their parenting since the separation. Rachel needs Scott's help with Julie's case. She has put together a psychological profile. Lucy is horrified that Scott would help her and strongly objects. Scott tries to motion to her to stop but Lucy is emotional about the Julie situation. She says Scott won't help, but Scott tells her to butt out. When they are alone, Lucy asks Scott why he didn't tell her about his helping in Julie's case. He thinks it has worked to their benefit. Her reaction was genuine. Rachel and DV talk on the phone about the letters. He gloats over making Eve his puppet. Rachel tells him how she saw Scott and Lucy making out like teenagers. She wonders who the puppets are. DV is mad that Scott and Lucy and Kevin and Eve have fooled him. Rachel laughs. They hang up. Eve and Kevin arrive at the firehouse separately and tell how DV accepted the letters as real. Both Scott and Lucy tell Eve how they respect her for what she did. It took a lot of courage to risk never seeing her son. Scott calls Victor. He wants him to check his computer for the Cobra project being infected by the virus. Eve's cell phone rings. It's DV. The letters check out. She goes off to meet her son. Kevin wants to go with her. He senses she's in danger. Eve objects. She says this is no longer about the Cobra project. It's about her and her son. Kevin insists that he come along. He says DV won't see him. Eve agrees. She and Kevin leave separately. Scott is worried. He thinks the letters were verified too quickly. Lucy thinks so also. Victor comes to the firehouse and goes on the computer. He sees that his plan to infect the Cobra project is working and does a victory dance with Scott and Lucy. Lucy notices that the screen has frozen.
Eve goes to DV's room. Kevin waits out in the hall for her. Inside, DV tells Eve that David doesn't know who she is. She understands. She just wants to see him. The boy comes into the room and shakes Eve's hand. Eve asks for a hug. She cries while they hug. David disappears into thin air. Eve looks mystified. DV chuckles. He says this was even better than he imagined.
