Port Charles Update for Tuesday, 7-Dec-1999

Today's show begins at the courthouse -- Chris and Julie are both in the hallway, wanting to hug. The guard says no. Courtney and Frank enter. Courtney tells off Julie -- says that Neil still has nightmares because of John's death and such.

A birthday party for Serena is happening at the firehouse. The doorbell rings -- it's John and Yoko -- oops, I mean Kevin and Eve. (Honest mistake!) Scott tells them that DV is his father. Joe and Karen come over with Neil. They share the news that the baby Courtney is carrying is a match for Neil.

Back at the courthouse -- some handsome guy in a wheelchair comes in -- not sure of his name, I *know* I've seen him before -- oh yeah, it's Matt! He and Rachel have words -- she asks if he's heard from Ellen. Matt says no. Matt is obviously becoming just a tad suspicious of Rachel.

Frank tells Courtney that he's proud of how she stood up to Julie. Wonder how long THAT will last.

Julie is worried about Courtney's testimony -- Chris says he'll handle it. Now THAT's the scheming little weasel I know and love! ‘Bout time he resurfaced! Dara begins her opening statement . . . . .

Back at the firehouse, Eve is playing pin the tail on the donkey -- isn't Kevin supposed to be in FRONT of her for that game? Just kidding -- sort of. Lee and Serena have a cute little talk. Gail gives Scott a pep talk about being DV's son and not to let it get to him. And then, just to prove how maternal Eve is, as if Hamner hasn't already pounded that into our heads, Lucy lets Eve hold Christina.

Back to the trial -- Darren is giving his opening statements. And my little devil Chris is showing a brief sign of being temporarily unpodded out in the lobby, basically telling Frank and Courtney that if their testimony doesn't help Julie, he'll tell Joe that he's not a daddy after all. GO Chris -- that's the schemer I know and love!

Back at Serena's party -- Eve and Kevin leave -- presumably to go have sex. (Hey, at least they didn't do it in the middle of the room!) They gave the excuse of Julie's trial, but -- we know the real truth. Taggart comes in and tells Scott that DV has recanted his statement about him being the shooter.

At the trial -- big surprise -- Courtney lies her butt off on the witness stand in order to keep Neil's paternity a secret.
