It's snowing in Port Charles. Joe comes home after shopping with Karen. There is a package for Neil from Greece. He talks about how happy he was to go snowboarding with Neil. They are both happy to be together again. They talk about the gifts they bought for Neil and Lark, do some wrapping and wind up kissing. Later, they open the package. Inside, among other things, is a manila envelope for Courtney from John's mother. Joe gets a page and has to go to GH. Karen finds some photos in the package. They are of Frank and Courtney. On the back of each, it says Venice 1989. In one of them, Frank and Courtney are kissing. Karen realizes that 1989 was when Neil was conceived. She thinks that even Courtney wouldn't do "that." Then she changes her mind and leaves the house.
Frank comes home to find Courtney waiting for him. He is angry that she perjured herself. She wants an apology for the way he talked to her. Frank explodes and orders her out of his apartment. Instead, she says she will be the one to apologize. She goes to kiss him, but he stops her. He only wants one thing: tell Joe the truth. Frank looks outside at the snow and remembers his days as a paramedic in this kind of weather. Courtney wants to know what she can do to make things better between them. (Is she dense or what?) Frank hands her the phone and tells her to call Joe. He doesn't understand. He doesn't think this is about protecting Neil or getting Joe back any more. Why did she perjure herself? Does she think he isn't good enough to be Neil's father? Courtney says no - it's she that is not good enough. People have always thought of her as the cheap girl who would sleep with anyone. Frank thinks she shouldn't care or worry about that. Courtney doesn't want Neil to have to hear from other kids that his mother slept with two brothers. Frank thinks Courtney doesn't care about Neil nor him, just herself. He reminds Courtney how she has asked so much of him, but has given nothing in return. She says she has given him picnics, affection, and herself. Courtney says that Frank must have thought that it was right to keep silent about him being the father of Neil and the baby. Otherwise, he would have told. Frank claims he was waiting for her to tell. He is outraged when Courtney insists she will tell but needs more time. He says he needs to tell Joe now. He leaves quickly. Courtney gets her coat and runs after him.
Scott is testing his Christmas lights while he's talking to Christina in her swing. Lucy, Serena and Charlene come home from shopping. Serena and Lucy are surprised that he wants to decorate outdoors. Scott says he wants to do it just like Lee used to. Charlene shows them a christening blanket she bought for Christina. She has made arrangements with a minister she met while jogging. She also has arranged for a caterer. Lucy doesn't like that Charlene did this without asking Scott or her first. Scott finds it amusing that Charlene is acting on impulse just like Lucy does. When Scott finishes hanging the lights, he and Lucy discuss who should be Christina's godparents. Joe and Karen would be good choices. Lee and Gail would be also. They think that Lee may want to retire to Florida soon. Scott talks about how he hopes that Lee will be partners with him first. He tells Lucy that Lee doesn't have the same dreams as he does. Lee thinks that Scott wants to go into partnership because he found out that DV is his biological father. When Lucy falls asleep on the couch, she dreams that it is Christina's christening day. She, Scott, the baby and the minister are at the firehouse. The minister tells Lucy to give the baby to the godmother. Lucy turns around, expecting Karen to be there, but instead it is Julie. As Julie holds and kisses Christina, Lucy wakes up.
At GH, Frank rushes in and tells Joe he has to tell him something about himself and Courtney. Joe doesn't want to hear unless it has something to do with Neil. Frank says "it does.....it's about time you heard it."
Courtney is driving through the snow storm. At the same time, Karen is also driving and having flashbacks of Courtney and Frank together. She starts putting the pieces together. She doesn't want to believe that Frank is Neil's father. She shakes her head and says it's impossible. Courtney calls Joe's but there is no answer. She is determined to get to Joe before Frank does. Courtney and Karen both lose control of their cars and swerve off the road.
