Lucy informs Scott she had a strange dream. About Felicia? Asks he. Lucy assumes Felicia is just very busy, no it’s not that. She tells him all about the dream and Julie being the godmother of Christina. Scott thinks it was just a dream, but Lucy believes all dreams mean something. Scott helpfully suggests Lucy’s dream meter has gone screwy. Lucy knows her subconscious is telling her conscious something.
Frank waits impatiently as Joe takes a phone call. Apparently Frank’s forgotten why he is there because he flashes back to the few minutes before when he told Courtney he was going to tell Joe that he is Neil’s father. Joe gives Frank all of 2 minutes to spit it out but Frankie is very quick and can do it in one. Frank has something to tell Joe that he has needed to know for a long time. Karen checks on the driver of the other car. She is unconscious – and she is Courtney.
Karen calls for paramedics informing them that there is a possible abdominal injury. Courtney begins to wake up. She is in mega-pain. Courtney is immediately worried about the baby. Karen calls Joe just as Frank is about to spill the beans. Frank orders Joe not to take the call but unorder-ly Joe does anyway. Karen tells Joe about the accident and Courtney’s pain. Joe pages Dr. Neumann to the ER. Scott lovingly tells Lucy that her crazy beautiful mind is all mixed up. Lucy has a funny feeling. She wonders if it is possible that Julie is innocent. Scott scoffs. Lucy wonders if special circumstances are involved – like hers with DV. That reminds Lucy that they haven’t discussed Scott’s feelings about what DV did to her since the news came out. Scott blames DV still. Lucy believes it is possible Cooper is using Julie the way DV used her. Joe calls Scott and tells him about the accident. Apparently Scott has become all concerned over Courtney because although Joe tells him Karen is fine, Scott heads right to the hospital.
Courtney pleads with Frank to stay with her. She is in major pain. Karen informs Joe she is fine but she is concerned about how the accident happened. With all the snow, she couldn’t see the road. Courtney asks Frank if he told Joe, but she is taken away for an ultrasound. Frank is clearly worried. Lucy informs Charlene she can’t sleep – vehicles crashing remind her of BJ. Lucy talks about how much she loved BJ and how that love convinced her she wanted to have children of her own. Charlene misses BJ very much also – but points out BJ’s death created a miracle for Maxie. Lucy is very concerned about Courtney – afraid she will lose the baby and therefore lose the ability to help Neil. Charlene chides her for her un-Coe like negativity. Lucy is worried that Christina may someday be in the same boat as Neil – and will need her biological family in order to save her life.
Frank attacks Karen – pointing out that Karen never liked Courtney and life would be easier for Karen if Courtney simply died. Scott orders him away; knowing that it is Frank’s pain that is talking. Karen tells Scott how guilty she is feeling about the accident – it could have been her fault. Courtney is bleeding internally. Dr. Neumann and Joe discuss that if the blood clots on it’s own, Courtney could carry the baby to term. If not, she will miscarry.
Charlene wonders how Lucy can find Christina’s parents if the police couldn’t. (Well first of all the police don’t have a crystal ball – just kidding!). Lucy knows someone who knows – and that knowledgeable person is David Bordisso. Lucy has to know who the parents of Christina are. Scott doesn’t want Karen to beat herself up. Frank informs Courtney that he has not told Joe the truth. Courtney wants to know from Joe what the odds are she will miscarry, but then is overcome with pain. Joe goes to order more tests as Frank tells Courtney he will not let her die.
