In the courtroom, Julie, Chris and Rachel discuss what may be up with Kevin's testimony today. Leopold joins them. He says that no new evidence has been submitted. He has no idea what will occur today. Rachel takes the stand. Dara says she will ask about former patients. Leopold objects. Dara responds "goes to credibility of Dr. Locke as an expert witness or shall I say lack of credibility." The judge overrules. Julie looks worried. Kevin tells Eve that he hopes this works. Dara asks Rachel about her patient, Jane Phillips, whom she treated five years ago. Rachel was hired to deprogram her after she was brainwashed by a cult. Dara thinks that's what Rachel is doing with Julie, but Rachel insists the two cases are totally different. Dara says the cases are strikingly similar. Wasn't Jane accused of murder? Rachel explains that she was accused of participating in a murder that the cult carried out. She was traumatized by witnessing the event, but Rachel helped her to remember the events of that night. Dara asks her about getting murderers off. Dara wants to read part of the testimony from Jane's trial. Leopold objects. The judge overrules. Through cross-examination and testimony, we learn that Jane was readmitted to a hospital after she had a "relapse" during which she killed her father. Dara asks sarcastically "you have some kind of need to put murderers back on the street?" Julie looks uneasy. Nicole does also. When Leopold questions her, Rachel explains that the cases are different. Jane was taking a psychotropic drug. It was when she went off of it that she committed the murder. Rachel has prescribed no medication for Julie, nor does she think she'll have to when Julie is released. Another difference is that Jane had a history of mental illness and Julie did not. When court adjourns for the day, Julie sympathizes with Rachel's treatment on the witness stand. Nicole announces she's leaving for Europe. Julie is upset. Nicole adds that she has been embarrassed by everything that is happening. Rachel tells Nicole that she doesn't deserve to be called Julie's mother. Nicole asks her if she thinks *she* does. Chris tries to hug Julie but the guard takes her away. Rachel congratulates Kevin on "winning this one." Eve says that Kevin didn't want Julie released from Ferncliff, even for this trial. Kevin reminds Rachel that she let a dangerous woman go free before - "don't do it again!" When the courtroom is almost empty, Chris lays into Rachel about her keeping secrets. It's going to hurt Julie. Rachel insists there is no similarity between the two cases. Chris doesn't think others saw it that way. Rachel says everything will be ok after Greg Cooper testifies. Chris leaves.

Lucy is on the phone making final plans for the wedding. Scott comes up behind her and grabs her. She closes her eyes and tells him to do the same. They are getting married tonight and they'll have bad luck if they see each other before the ceremony. Scott tells her that the rules have changed for the new millenium. Lucy reminds him that they are getting married in the old millenium. Victor arrives. Lucy asks him to give her away. They share a tender emotional moment, with both of them moved to tears when Lucy says she would understand if he says no because of her history with Kevin and he responds that he thinks of her as a daughter. Victor leaves to get his tuxedo ready. Scott and Lucy hear a scream. They go to bring Victor back inside. He has a sprained ankle. He insists he'll be ok but he screams when he tries to put weight on it. Charlene comes home with Serena and Christina as Lucy and Scott bring Victor to the hospital.

Karen is waiting at a nurses' station, looking at a phone. She flashes back to when she asked Frank if he was the father of Neil and the baby. Matt tells her that he took a message about the HLA test results she is waiting for. She perks up. Matt tells her that the tests are taking longer than expected. He comments that these results seem to be very important to her. When Karen tries to cover, Matt gets a knowing look on his face. Karen spills a drink. Matt tells her she looks tense. Karen tells him about the picture and her suspicions that Frank is Neil's father. Matt guesses that the blood test is Frank's. Karen says she knows that Joe will be hurt if Frank is Neil's father. Karen gets ready to leave for Lucy and Scott's wedding. Matt tells her the test result are ready. They compare these test results to the previous one done supposedly on Joe's blood sample. Everything is identical. Realizing that all the genetic markers can't be the same, they conclude that the previous blood sample was Frank's, not Joe's. Karen wonders who was able to do the switch - probably Frank or Courtney.

Julie is riding in the van back to Ferncliff. She has flashbacks of all the damaging testimony given during the trial. The van swerves. The driver says he's having chest pains. The other guard tries to take the wheel. After the van crashes, Julie climbs out and says "I have to get out of here." We see one of the guards lying unconscious in the snow.

Lucy and Scott arrive at the hall where their wedding is to take place. He brings her inside and reminds her that he promised her the sun, the moon, and the stars. They enter a circle surrounded by tall white pretty curtains. There are tall white trees with a lot of sparkly, shiny things adorning the whole area. Lucy is overcome with emotion. She says it seems like she's been here before. It's just like her dream when Julie was an angel.
