At GH, Chris wants Darren Leopold to find another psychiatrist to discredit Rachel. He wants Rachel off Julie's case.

Lucy is amazed that Scott has come to Ferncliff to visit Julie. She tells him that she and Julie were just discussing her trial. Lucy was telling Julie that Scott always says that the defendant should not testify. Scott says that he thinks Julie *should* testify. He says it's a long shot, but it's the only shot she's got. Scott explains that, although keeping the defendant off the witness stand is the first thing one learns in law school, he thinks Julie has nothing to lose and everything to gain by testifying. Lucy brings Scott outside the visitors room to talk with him. She wonders if Rachel has put a hex on him. Scott says he just wants to help Julie. Lucy assumes that means he thinks Julie is not guilty. Scott says no. She is just entitled to the best legal defense and Leopold is not that person. Inside the room, Julie is confused. Her trial resumes in two hours and she doesn't know whose advice she should follow. Rachel tries to convince her to take the stand, look the jury in the face and tell her story. Rachel can't guarantee that they will all believe her, but it's the best chance she has. Rachel reminds Julie that Scott is probably trying to help her because she returned Christina. Chris and Darren arrive. Chris doesn't want to waste any time. He tells Julie that she must fire Rachel. Rachel asks Chris where he gets off coming there and saying that. Chris tells her that she's part of the problem, not the solution. Chris tells Rachel that as soon as Julie gives the go-ahead, he's giving her her walking papers. Outside the door, Lucy's ear is up to the door and she's repeating the conversation to Scott. She gets really into it, as only Lucy can, and Scott drags her away. Inside, Rachel asks Chris to consider how it will look to the jury if she is replaced. Chris says the jury doesn't believe in her. He wants to do what is best for Julie. Julie remains firm. She's keeping Rachel and she's taking the stand. She owes everything to Rachel. Darren says she has made the worst possible decision. Julie asks Chris to support her decision and he reluctantly agrees. Darren gets emotional. He says he's the only one there who is qualified to give legal advice. Julie says she won't give up without a fight. Darren reminds her of Greg's confession. Darren says that Greg's confession creates reasonable doubt. He will *not* let Julie take the stand. If she insists, she'll have to find another lawyer.

At the lighthouse, Kevin looks at a photo of him and Eve. Eve comes home from GH. She has a toy car that is a replica of the bed where they first made love. When she doesn't get a reaction from Kevin, she tells him that she's been thinking since New Year's Eve about making a brand new start. Eve thinks the toy car symbolizes the way they started. She wants to return to the way they used to be. She knows she screwed things up by lying to him. Kevin thinks they can never be the way they were before. He wants a partner - not just in bed and singing karaoke. He can't forget that she lied about Bordisso. She tries to remind him why she thought it was justified, but Kevin won't budge. She asks if he is breaking up with her. He answers no. He thinks they rushed into their relationship. He wants to know the real Eve. He is so sweet and tender during this scene, he could make anyone's heart melt. Eve weeps. Kevin wipes her tears away. He wants a deep, honest commitment from her. Eve is afraid that if Kevin looks deep inside her, he won't like what he sees. She has built up her walls and doesn't want to take them down. Kevin thinks he's taking the same chance, but this is something they must do. Eve agrees and tells Kevin that she is so in love with him. They kiss and hug.

The trial is about to resume. Dara speaks with Kevin and Eve outside the courtroom. She feels confident. Inside, Lucy and Scott notice that Chris is sitting with Rachel. Lucy doesn't think Julie is capable of murder. She has seen a different side to her. The judge says that the bailiff is not letting the jury in until she has something clarified. She has been told that Darren Leopold will not be representing the defendant any longer. Dara is amazed. Julie explains that she and Darren could not agree on her next course of action. The judge wants to know if Julie plans on defending herself. Julie asks for more time. Dara tells the judge that she thinks Mr. Leopold should be compelled to finish the trial. The judge says she'll appoint a public defender to the case. Chris pleads with the judge to give them more time to find a new attorney. During this entire scene, the camera keeps showing Scott. Finally, Scott jumps out of his seat and announces he'll be representing the defendant.
