Warming – this update was written under the influence of cold medicine. Therefore all snarkiness, misinformation, and weird sentence structures are not my fault.
Kevin brings Eve bear claws and they flirt (oh gee this is my lucky day, what fun, what joy, what – never mind.) They finally, thank goodness, turn the conversation to Neil and to Joe. Neil is still one sick boy. Joe has been constantly by his side (Frank and Courtney are napping). Karen enters Neil’s room where indeed Joe is by his side. Karen shares with Joe that Neil’s infection is not spreading, but the only thing Joe shares with Courtney is a cold shoulder.
Scott is unhappy with Julie’s jury tampering attempt and doesn’t want her apologies. She blames Chris, he threatens to use his handy dandy phone and call the judge. Julie claims stupidity in listening to Chris and Scott has found something they can agree on. Scott tells Julie that if he really truly thought her guilty, he wouldn’t have taken the case. Julie wants to get released so she can prove what a good girl she is, Scott replies her fate is in the jury’s hands.
Chris and Rachel discuss the exact same jury-bribing incident – Chris was following DV’s plans but Rachel considers those plans gone with DV. Rachel claims that it was she that got Scott to take on Julie’s case. Chris is unimpressed. Chris realizes that Rachel is way too interested in getting close to Scott, but Rachel claims it is all for Julie’s sake. Chris realizes that a lot of funny things (funny weird not funny ha ha) have been happening lately and remarks he can see things (Rachel) clearly now. Methinks I see a war coming on.
Joe and Karen take their discussion to the hallway. Karen goes step by step why she kept the secret, Joe is unmoved. Karen wanted to protect Joe ‘cause she loves him. Joe believes she can open her big mouth to everyone and spill her guts, except to him. Joe mutters “If Neil dies...” and then goes back into Neil’s room.
Scott chats with the still vacationing Lucy on the phone. Oh look – it’s Rachel. He knew she’d be there, he wants to discuss Julie. They agree to blame Chris. Rachel tells Scott that his stress levels are very high. What do you suggest, asks the none-too-bright Scott? How about lying on my couch, says that very-easy-to-get Rachel. Therapy’s not my style replies Scott (oh yeah – she was really talking about therapy. Right.) Rachel suggests darts. If she wins Julie is innocent, and if he wins he can name the prize. Scott gives Rachel dart pointers, Rachel wants to know what else Scott can do (oh please.)
Karen and Eve discuss Neil and Joe. Eve compares Karen and Joe’s relationship to hers and Kevin’s (a discussion of Kevin and Eve’s love life. This really is my lucky day.) Eve tells Karen it’s too soon to give up on Joe. Kevin visits Joe. Joe is worried about Neil. Kevin warns him Neil may not react favorably to the news (gee you think?) Joe plans to make sure that no one – including Neil’s lying family – hurts Neil again. Kevin looks worried.
Karen watches Joe watch Neil. Never knowing when to give up, she enters the room to talk to Joe again. Again Joe barks at her. Neil wakes up. Once he realizes where he is and what has happened, he literally turns his back on Karen and Joe saying they lied to him and telling them to go away. Chris visits Julie and is happy to have been her jury-tampering scapegoat but they disagree when it comes to Rachel and her motives. Julie is all for Rachel, Chris (aka the smart one – except when it comes to serial killers) truly believes Rachel to be dangerous.
Scott wins the dart game (I bet you were worried.) Rachel still believes Julie will be found innocent. Kevin and Eve enter and discuss the elevator incident. Rachel claims her big secret is that she was once accidentally locked in a closet for a long time and now has fears of enclosed places. Scott thinks he and Rachel and Kevin and Eve will have to agree to disagree. Scott and Rachel leave together???? and Kevin still thinks Rachel had something to do with Ellen’s disappearance (who? what? when? Oh I remember! Long time no hear from – or about.) Eve has an idea (and it took a lot of willpower not to write whoopee here – oops. Blame it on the cold medicine.)
And this is the end.
