Our Friday episode begins with Rachel and Kevin. Rachel mentions how devastated Julie is; Kevin can imagine but unlike others he doesn’t get off on watching people suffer. Rachel gives Kevin credit for being consistent – and tells him his judgment is wrong (bet he’s devastated).

Julie holds a picture of herself and Chris and one of Christina. Chris wonders if her nights were restless (my baby she has restless nights.) Julie admits she couldn’t sleep. Chris wishes Julie had woken him up. He asks her to please let him help her through this. Frank is at the park and is approached by Courtney. Courtney wonders if Frankie is ever going to forgive her or if he is going to shut her out forever. We’ll have to wait for his answer because now we are visiting the Firehouse. Lucy wonders why Frank can’t come here for the visit. Scott tells Lucy it’s only one day. Lucy wonders why Scott is doing this to her.

Scott insists he is doing something for Christina. Frank is, after all her father. Nope, replies Lucy, you are Christina’s father. Scott rightly points out that Frank was robbed. Lucy doesn’t know if they can trust Frank. Scott wants Lucy to trust him. Lucy seems unconvinced. Lucy follows Scott and Christina out of the Firehouse, clutching at her and telling her how much she loves Christina.

Courtney wonders if Frank can stay mad at her forever. Frank doesn’t know. Courtney can’t make Frank forgive her, but the day after forever she will still be waiting for him because she loves him (awwwww). Frank mentions, once again, the trading of Christina for cash. Frank wants Courtney to take back the money. Yeah sure says Courtney (yeah sure she still has the money – what kind of fantasy world does Frank live in and how can I join him there?) Frank wonders if Courtney will stick with him if he goes for custody of Christina. Courtney says yes, but Frank doesn’t believe her and walks away.

Julie tells Chris not to try so hard. Chris is informing Julie how stubborn he is when his beeper goes off. Since Boardman isn’t available, Chris has to go in to the hospital. Chris hates leaving Julie. Julie tells Chris she is gonna take a nap. They kiss. Julie smiles and pulls Chris into a deeper kiss. There are tears in Julie’s eyes as she thanks Chris for loving her the way he does. They kiss once more and hug. Chris tells Julie he’ll see her soon and Julie calls our Chris and when he stops, she simply says bye. Is that gathering doom I sense?

Frank’s wait is over as Scott appears with Christina. Scott, in a very motherish way, gives Frank teething tips and warnings about swings. Scott hands Christina over and watches warily as Frank takes her in his arms. Frank thanks Scott and Scott walks away, turning around to watch Frank and Christina bond for a moment. (My two dads revisited).

Serena wonders if her Daddy is taking Christina to see Frank. Lucy admits that he is. Lucy hates anytime she is separated from her two girls. Serena knows that Lucy is pretty mad about not being able to adopt Christina and although she knows it’s not the same thing, she wonders if Lucy would like to adopt her (proof positive that Serena is smarter than both her parents –like that is hard – just kidding! - why didn’t either one of them come up with this long ago? ) Lucy is genuinely touched – and she should be – she informs Serena that she is the most sweet, amazing person she knows. They hug. Lucy thanks Serena. Serena considers them both lucky (hanky moment!). Serena runs to the kitchen as Lucy answers the door. She regrets that immediately, because it’s Courtney on the other side.

They snap at each other and Lucy asks for her money back but Courtney – forgetting so soon what she promised Frank – kinda fudges and tells Lucy she kept her part of the bargain. Lucy doesn’t want the money; she just wants Courtney out of her life. Well it seems that Amanda, impressed with the party girl in Courtney, wants Courtney to help with the Nurses’ Ball. Over your dead body, snarls Lucy, and probably mine too. Courtney sees Lucy’s dead body as no big prob, but she will be helping out with the ball. Lucy doesn’t like Courtney or anyone in her family and wants Courtney out of her house and to get her own life. Courtney gaily leaves.

Frank tells Christina about Neil and tells her that he is her friend, will always be her friend and that he wants to be someone that Christina can count on. He tells her that good changes are coming for her and that he hopes one day she will understand the choices that Frank has made. He made them out of love for her (honesty and biceps – what a guy.) Kevin – speaking of hunks – is paged by Chris. Chris wants to talk about Julie, and when Kevin mentions Rachel, Chris makes it clear he wants Rachel Locke nowhere near his wife. He tells Kevin that Julie is broken and when Kevin asks tells him that Julie is not sleeping. And not crying. She seems dead inside. He wonders if he is overreacting but Kevin doesn’t think so. Kevin also thinks that too much has gone on between him and Julie for him to treat her (smart Kevin) and recommends Gail (like there was another choice.) He tells Chris not to wait to get Julie professional help until it’s too late. Chris thanks Kevin and then runs into Rachel. He tells her that there is nothing she could say that he would be interested in. Rachel wonders if Alan would be interested in the fact that Chris drugged her drink.

Chris grimaces as Rachel drags him to the couch area. She wonders how Chris could be so vicious and doesn’t believe Chris when he tells her the drink wasn’t meant for her. Rachel accuses Chris of Julie jealousy. Chris wonders if they are done. Rachel, in her bestest Rachel voice, informs Chris that no one has ever caused her to lose something she wanted and gotten away with it and he isn’t going to be the first. Unimpressed, Chris walks away but Kevin has witnessed the exchange. Winning friends? He sweetly asks Rachel. Rachel is not in the mood and wants Kevin to leave her alone. Kevin snorts that that is a twist. Kevin wonders if taking Julie away as his patient was part of Rachel’s big plan. The positive thing he sees is that the people Rachel is trying to destroy have come up with remarkable ways to survive. Rachel grabs Kevin’s hand – no, not that kind of grab! – and tells him that if it was her goal in life to destroy him he would be staring at 4 padded walls by now. Kevin turns his hand over; her fingernails have dug into his skin. Kevin congratulates Rachel on drawing first blood, but tells her that the battle if far from over (go go Kevy!)

Lucy – much more calm – asks Scott how it went. Scott tells her it went fine and then agrees with Lucy when she says that she drives him crazy. She wants to discuss food, but he holds her close. Frank wonders what Christina is thinking and promises to always care what goes on in Christina’s head. He is not perfect but when Christina needs him, he will be there. Chris comes home – checks the bedroom – starts calling out Julie’s name. He picks up the frame – now empty – their picture is gone. Lucy, Serena and Scott discuss summer vacation – perhaps a trip to Florida? Scott really likes Florida. Lucy tells them that Christina will be home soon.
And we are back at the park the swing swings emptily. We look on the ground – Frank lies there motionless. Christina is nowhere around.

Oh no!

Sorry – episode over.
