Our Friday episode begins with Kevy rushing into the ER all frantic-like while Ian works on a patient. It’s Peter, Rachel’s suicidal patient who jumped out of a third-story window. Peter is so agitated Ian can’t doctor him and Kevy tries to work his calming magic but to no avail. Lucy exchanges pleasantries with Deneice, but things get definitely less than pleasant when Rachel pops up. Rachel is amazed that Lucy is doing so well after her breakdown, after all she did lose Christina forever. Lucy just watches her walk away. Livvie talks to Jen on the phone – she’s still waiting for Chris to make an appearance. Which – right on cue – he does. Livvie compares his picture to the one in the newspaper (like the world could handle more than one Chris Ramsey) and then lets him run into her (which I would probably – okay definitely – do too.) Allison informs Cedric that she wants to help him get Jamal – that Jamal has played the both of them. The new credits roll.

Lucy hits the elevator to go down, but then eyes Rachel again. She approaches her and informs her that Christina is missing but not gone forever, Lucy will never give up until she gets Christina back. Lucy also tells Rachel that she is a cold-hearted snake who couldn’t mother any kind of reptile. Rachel chips in by commenting about Lucy abandoning the one child she has left and she hopes that Lucy gets the help she needs. Lucy snarkily replies that she has seen Rachel’s version of helping – she was Julie’s doctor after all. Lucy feels sorry for Rachel’s patients and tells her that she should be ashamed to call herself a doctor. I just love it when women bond.

Peter wants to die and be with his wife. Ian frantically tries to doctor him and Kevin tries to calm him but neither are getting very far. The nurse tells the majorly good-looking duo that Rachel is on her way. Kevin mutters great but somehow I don’t think he meant it. “Charlie” introduces herself to Chris. It seems she is working on a medical administration project and Chris looks helpful. Chris tells her he is no ordinary doctor he is – gasp - bow- chief resident.

Cedric seems to be unbelieving of Allison’s so believable story. Allison blabbers and blabbers and finally wears Cedric down. Cedric leaves the room and Allison tries not to freak. After our friendly commercial ends, Jamal’s cell phone is ringing. He answers. It’s Allison telling him she is at Cedric’s warehouse and for him to get there quick before her parent’s like ground her or something. What parents – ohhhhhhhh says Jamal. Don’t do anything dumb. Do I ever? Asks Allison (to his credit Jamal doesn’t answer that.) Cedric strokes Allison’s cheek and tells “baby” she did a good job. Chris tells Livvie all about his big important job. But then, proving that his brains aren’t just a myth – Chris asks Livvie what she really wants. Rachel and Kevin do what they do best – argue. Kevin tells her about Peter and makes a not-nice comment about Rachel’s brand of therapy. Rachel icily tells him that unlike Kevin, some people don’t get over pain easily. Ian informs the snipers that Peter is dead. Kevin replies that it never should have happened.

And then who walks in but DON! It’s Don! He’s alive – he hasn’t been buried alive at Jack’s after all. Oh and Lucy is with him – and big boxes. Lucy smiles hugely at Doc and Ian and then realizes right away something is wrong. Ian tells her a patient died. Kevin wonders what is in the box. Hope replies Lucy. Kevin smiles as Ian remarks that it is interesting packaging. Lucy tells him that it his clinic. Livvie wonders why all doctors are know-it-alls, Chris tells her that is why her mother wants her to marry one. Wrong, replies Livvie (see she has Chris pegged already ), she wants me to be one like she is. Livvie looks uh-ohish and then tells Chris she is interested in the business end of medicine. Ever the philanthropist, Chris thinks it is a smart thing to do since it’s not easy making money doctoring anymore. Chris takes his pizza and leaves.

Ian can’t believe Lucy got the board to change their minds. Lucy tells him they gave him space in the ER. Ian hugs Lucy as Kevin keeps on grinnin’. Amazing woman says Ian, sure is agrees Doc. Ian could kiss Lucy right now, but settles for another hug. Kevin wonders what is in the boxes. Stuff replies Lucy helpfully. It seems that the only thing the board agreed to was to donate space, everything else they will have to get through other means, Lucy is underwriting the whole thing. Ian worries but Kevin knows Lucy (and yes he does) and knows she has several benefactors already lined up. Don and Ian leave – bye! – and Lucy and Kevin are like I like them – alone (well as alone as you can be in the middle of a hospital.) Kevin wonders if Lucy knows how proud he is of her. Lucy tells him that he promised her she would find purpose but that it still hurts. Kevin knows. Lucy thinks about Christina all the time. Kevin does too – he is her Godfather after all and Lucy gave him that gift, that responsibility. If only he had figured out what Julie was up to.

Lucy gets to give Kevin advice, she realized that all her guilt wasn’t going to bring Christina back. Kevin knows that. Lucy has a question for Kevin – is going on with her life mean that she is giving up? No, replies Kevin, it means you are healing and he for one is very glad to have her back (of course he is). They hug – such a poignant moment – and then Kevin looks up. Lucy senses something and turns around. Scott is standing there, watching them. Jamal gets to the warehouse to find Cedric on the ground, not moving. He takes a pulse and calls for Allison. She stumbles out – her face looking like it has been used for a punching bag – and collapses in his arms. And for those of you who know soaps, know that that is the end.
