Our Friday episode with Livvie mid-nightmare. She murmurs that she can’t breathe as Lucy enters the hotel room. .”Charlie” wakes up and rushes to the bathroom with Lucy in close pursuit. Ian kindly gives Eve first dibs on a shift. She informs him that Chris is the dance master, but Ian is referring to his clinic. Eve nobly donates one shift of her time, Ian greedily takes two. Eve then kindly suggests that Ian get a life. They discuss what that life could be – Eve kinda thinks his big hobby might be bird watching. We learn that Ian is a one-woman man. Eve seems interested in this information (purely on a scientific – or matchmaking which is a science I am not sure Eve is good at – level I am sure). Ian grins that Eve is very curious for a happily married lady.

Ian and Kevin nod as Ian leaves, Kevin wonders if Ian was hitting on Eve. Oh but he is so not my type Eve rushes to say. Kevin was talking about helping out at the clinic. They discuss Allison (in a very non-mushy way thank you writers – the check is in the mail). Kevin confides that Allison may never remember what happened that night. Speaking of Allison there she is talking to Jamal still looking all battered and bruised and dying to get her memory back. Jamal wants her to stop pushing. Allison is a tad confused – how did Jamal end up in the warehouse anyway? Jamal tells her it was part of the grand scheme he worked out with Eve and the police. Allison insists that there be no more secrets between them, Jamal unconvincingly agrees.

Scott enters wanting to talk to Jamal outside but Allison wants to be talked in front of. Scott informs Jamal that the police have found evidence that it was Jamal running the numbers operation. And the police now think that our little Jamal is a cold-blooded murderer. With that terrible thought we come up to the –

OPENING

Wave bye-bye as all the pretty pictures pass your way.

Once we come back, refreshed and ready to really get into Port Charles – we find Lucy is still trying to get Charlie to open the door - maybe it would help if she called her by her real name – oh no need Livvie opens the door after all. Lucy gets Livvie some water but Livvie drops and breaks the glass. She is hysterically-brinking so Lucy takes her back to the couch. Livvie admits to having had the same nightmare since she was little, her Mother had always told her that dreams couldn’t hurt her. Lucy thinks that people dream for a reason. Livvie would rather not think about that, thank you very much. Livvie is afraid to go to sleep.

Gabriella tells Ian that the back patient Bob Green is asking for Eve but he’ll basically have to do. Bob is not all that thrilled to see Ian, but Ian and Bob happily discuss what a charming and attractive and so forth and so on woman Eve is until Gab helpfully points out they are leaving out the word “married.” Ian and Bob agree that the good ones are already taken. Bob has developed a pain in the neck (Gab knows a few of those). Scott continues with his bad news, telling Jamal that the police now believe Cedric was working for him. Jamal was quitting for goodness sake right before – he then cuts to the story about Cedric falling down the stairs. Scott knows a corner cutter when he sees one (all that time looking in a mirror helped him a lot with that) but doesn’t think that makes Jamal a bad guy. He leaves, but not before he orders Jamal to stay out of trouble.

Allison and Jamal discuss the bummerness of reality. Jamal likes Allison without her memory. Meantime, by the elevators, Eve and Scott discuss Jamal and Eve’s belief in him. Eve gets paged to the ER leaving Scott to encounter Kevin. Again the subject of Allison’s memory and Jamal’s innocence is discussed before Scott thanks Kevin for taking care of Lucy in his absence. Kevy was just checking in on an old – good – friend. Kevin informs Scott that Lucy is trying to cope with her loss, Scott points out that it is “our” loss, Kevin feels loss too. Lucy needs time, says the wise Dr. Collins. Time being a new and uninticing concept to Scott, he thinks some pushing is in order. Kevin looks ready to argue but Scott is saved by the ringing of Kevin’s phone. Of course it is Lucy. Kevin turns away from Scott as he talks to her, Lucy needs him to come right away and please. Kevin is on his way.

Not one to let anything get past him, Scott wants to know if that was Lucy. Kevin admits that it was. Scott mutters that he is Lucy’s husband, Lucy should be calling him. Back in the ER (or actually I guess that would be down), Ian and Eve are discussing Bob’s interesting neck wound. Ian thinks it is a tattoo that became infected, but Bob feels strongly he is a tattoo-less kind of guy. Eve and Ian take the discussion to the hallway where they discuss Ian’s quite horrifying paperwork allergy. Ian can’t help but bring up Bob’s crush, which Eve thinks is cute. Ian wonders if Bob worries about Eve’s jealous husband. Eve snorts that Kevin is not the jealous type – he knows he has nothing to worry about. Hmmmmmmm.

Speaking of nothing to worry about (maybe), Kevin is standing in front of Lucy now at the hotel room doorway. Lucy smiles and thanks Kevin for coming, it is Kevin who smiles when Lucy says it is not about her for once. Lucy brings Kevin in to meet Charlie but they recognize the anchovy lover in each other immediately. Lucy thinks they might keep running into each other for a reason (what a coincidence – so do I). Livvie is reluctant to discuss her dream. Scott is again in Allison’s room telling Jamal that Eve vouched for him, but the police are still convinced that Jamal is guilty of murder. Allison’s testimony wouldn’t help because the police think she would lie for him. Scott wonders if Jamal remembers anything he needs to tell him (like - I don’t know – he wasn’t even there perhaps?)

Ian and Eve look at Bob’s file. Look at that – says Ian – his blood panel came back incomplete (a clue a clue I have found a clue). They discuss the rightness of Ian. Lucy sings Kevin’s praises to Livvie as Kevin smiles one of his most purty smiles at her. Kevin wants to help Livvie but knows she has no reason to trust him. But Livvie does trust him, says she (wonder why that is?? Hmmmm). Livvie tells Kevin and Lucy – a concerned pair if I ever saw one – that her nightmares are always the same. That she is in the water and she can’t breathe and she knows she is about to drown but she can’t get to the surface (I wonder if any of this sounds at all familiar to my Kevy?)

Jamal and Scott take their discussion to the hallway. Scott thinks that Jamal is hiding something and tells him the police are gonna revoke Jamal’s bail and he has to turn himself in the next day. Jamal tells Allison the bad news. Our duo feels hopeless but we’ll have to leave them that way because this episode is history.
