Neil is in the ER. Joe and Gabriella ask where Courtney is. Neil wants Joe to call Courtney and Frank. He knows they'd want to be there. He thinks his knee may be broken, but Joe says he'll be ok. Joe looks sad when Neil says Courtney wasn't with him. When Gabriella and Neil are alone, he explains to her how he hurt himself skateboarding. He assumes she doesn't understand skateboard maneuvers, and is impressed, and perhaps a bit smitten, when Gabriella tells him how much she know about skateboarding. She explains that she has six brothers. Joe comes back, but pauses and listens to the conversation while he is still out of sight. He has a melancholy smile as he listens to two of his favorite people bonding. Neil says he wishes he could have a little brother. Gabriella says maybe one day he will. Neil says that he won't. Joe becomes upset. He comes to talk to Neil. Neil tells Joe that Frank moved out today, but he thinks that his parents still love each other. He asks Joe to talk to them for him. Away from Neil, Joe tells Gabriella that he can't. He doesn't understand why people who have gone through so much together can't work it out. Joe says "How do I make a kid understand why two people can't be together?" Gabriella replies "Well, I'm still trying to figure that one out myself." They both think that Neil hurt himself just to get attention. Joe returns to Neil. He isn't surprised that Joe couldn't reach Courtney. Neil says she's always busy with Amanda Barrington. Joe tells Neil that no matter what happens, Frank will always love him.
Alison has some memories of being alone with Cedric on the night he died. She remembers him grabbing her and shoving her around. She also remembers him lying on the floor. Jamal sees her getting upset and emotional. Alison insists that she's all right, but Jamal knows better. They do their verbal jousting. Alison has more flashbacks of Cedric and runs away from Jamal. He finds her outside and puts a jacket around her. She tells of her memories of Cedric, but they are all jumbled up. Jamal says it's just like a bad dream, and probably most of it is not true. He reminds her that they know the truth. She should stop forcing herself to remember. She says she isn't forcing the memories.
Ian and Eve reassure Beth that everything will be ok. As they walk away, Beth has a lot of pain and begins to scream. Eve says her blood pressure is through the roof. A nurse rushes in with test results. The doctors let Beth know that her baby is coming sooner than they planned. Eve tells Beth that her lungs are full of liquid and that her baby is in distress. They tell the nurse to call for an emergency C-section. Ian and Eve look at each other, both extremely worried. After an orderly and a nurse take Beth to Dr. Newman, Ian and Eve tell each other that they did a good job. They start feeling uncomfortable in their situation. Eve walks away. Later, Ian walks in on Eve, who is crying. She says that this whole thing really got to her. She comments that she thinks nothing ever gets to him. He says it does. She apologizes. He offers his time if she wants to talk to him. She says she called Kevin but he isn't available. Ian asks if he'll do in a pinch, just call him. She says she's not comfortable with that. Eve gets a call from Jamal, who tells her that Alison might be having a mental breakdown. Eve rushes off. As she is starting her car, Ian jumps in on the passenger's side. He wants to come along to help, no questions asked.
Jamal holds a sleeping Alison, stroking her hair and telling her everything will be ok.
