At a nurses' station, Rachel talks on the phone about one of her patients. Chris, of course, is there to hear everything. Rachel asks a nurse if there are any messages for her. She is anxious to hear from Alan. Chris gives her a dig about losing her position at GH. She tells Chris that she'll be making a statement to Alan and the board. Chris asks Rachel how her mother is and why they have different last names, since she was never married. Rachel replies that it's none of his business, but she got married in college. Her husband died. She presses Chris for information about Kevin and "Charlie." Chris tells her he's working on it. Later, Rachel hears a nurse telling Victor on the phone that Kevin is seing a patient outside the hospital. Rachel mumbles "Charlie McMillan" and gets onto the elevator. Chris is talking on his cell phone to someone who has been unable to get any information on Joshua Locke. When he learns from a nurse that Rachel just left and that Kevin is with a patient outside of GH, a light bulb goes off and he goes running off.
Eve tells Ian about ordering supplies for the clinic. She found a way to do it online. She wants to email the details to him. She is amazed that he doesn't have an email address. He tells Eve to give any clinic information to Karen. He tells Eve that he's leaving. Eve becomes annoyed with him. She calls him Dr. Nomad. She thought he was happy with his work at the clinic. He admits that he is, but it's nothing like walking into a village and saving people who are dying. He hates the red tape at the hospital. Eve says she and others at GH used to think he was a jerk, but since he started plans for the clinic, she has been impressed with his work. She tells him that she thinks he is running away. Later, Eve and Ian treat a patient in ER. Ian notices something on her neck. It looks like the same mysterious mark on the other patients. The patient has seen Dr. Boardman on a previous visit and makes a remark indicating she doesn't like him. Away from the patient, Eve and Ian joke about Dr. Boardman. When he comes along, he and Ian trade some insults. Eve brings Ian into a medicine room. They discuss the coincidence of three patients with the blue dots. Ian suggests calling the police. Eve asks if he means the same police that think Jamal is John Gatti? the same police that let Greg Cooper escape? Eve asks him if he isn't the least bit interested in the blue dot mystery. She wants him to stay in PC and be her partner in crime-solving.
In her hotel room, Livvie talks with Kevin. She is not upset because of a dream. It is because her mother has lied to her about her father. Kevin asks if her mother or grandmother ever told her anything about her father. She answers no. Kevin reminds Livvie that she said her mother was never angry at her father, just at the situation. Livvie says that everything was fine until a couple of months ago. Kevin asks if it's because she thinks her mom doesn't want her around. She explains it's because she has heard people say upsetting things about her mother that she was unaware of. She says that she knew her mother was a control freak, but she was surprised to hear how other people described her. She says to Kevin "you should have seen her yesterday." Kevin is taken aback. He asks if her mother is here in PC. Livvie tells Kevin that she saw her mother, but not in PC. She says she observed her mother totally lose control. Livvie asks if that's what her dream is about. Her mother was her anchor. Now she doesn't have her, so she's drowning. There's a knock at the door. It's Rachel. She says "Charlie? Charlie McMillan? It's Dr. Locke." Livvie runs into the bathroom as Kevin answers the door. He asks Rachel what she is doing there and she responds that she'd like to ask him the same question.
