Port Charles Update for Friday, 8-Sep-2000

At GH, Chris talks to someone on his cell phone about Joshua Locke and then tells Denise that he'll be going to Manhattan. Rachel talks to Kevin about *him* kissing *her* and he, of course, reminds her that it was she who kissed him. She asks him how many times he has acted inappropriately with his female patients. Rachel promises that she'll keep "nipping at his heels" until justice is done. Kevin thinks it's a waste of a lonely life. Alone, Rachel gets a call from Livvie. Livvie keeps up the charade of being in Mexico. When she mentions the beach, Rachel asks her about her nightmares. Livvie wants to come to see her to talk about them. Rachel says her schedule is packed for the next week. Maybe she can help Livvie set up her room on campus after that. Livvie doesn't want her mother to do that. Later, Rachel reads in the newspaper about a storm hitting Mexico. She calls Livvie. When Livvie sees it is Rachel on her caller ID, and Kevin is at the door, she lets the phone ring. Rachel calls Jennifer's mother and is dismayed to find out not only is Livvie not with them, but they are in Arizona, not Mexico. Kevin tells Livvie about Dr. Locke reporting him to the board of medical examiners. He explains that Livvie will have to talk before a committee and tell them that nothing inappropriate happened during their sessions in the hotel room. When Livvie finds out that Rachel will be there, she refuses to go.

Lucy reminds the French woman that she has complied with all her requests. Where is her daughter? If she doesn't return to the hotel soon, her husband will come looking for her. A man approaches them holding a baby wrapped in a blanket. Police arrive, throwing a searchlight on him. He runs away. Scott appears and chases him. In the confusion, the woman grabs Lucy's purse, which has the money in it, and runs in the opposite direction. We don't see what immediately follows, but in the next scene, Lucy is holding a blonde child, Scott is holding onto the man who had the child, and the police bring the woman to the scene. Lucy demands to know where Christina is. Scott slugs the man. One of the police say they think the baby was stolen from a woman in a nearby town. Back in their hotel room, Lucy and Scott decide that they should go home soon to Serena.

At the warehouse, Alison hears a noise and calls out, asking who is there. When she sees it's Jamal, she runs to him and hugs him. He asks what she's doing there. She explains that she's looking for clues to clear him. She hopes the police overlooked something. Jamal tells her he decided to hang out in the warehouse because he thinks noboby would ever look for him there. Alison thinks that's not the only reason he didn't leave PC. She tells him "you just didn't have the heart to leave me." Alison tells Jamal that she told the police that she killed Cedric. She still can't remember what happened before the fight. While they are hugging, it dawns on her how to prove he's innocent. Alison remembers seeing information about Cedric's illegal operations on his laptop. He changed the names on it to Jamal's name. He transferred the real data to his organizer. Now all they have to do is find that organizer. Jamal is pessimistic. He has searched the warehouse for evidence and didn't see an organizer.

Chris locates and meets Dr. Joshua Locke. He tells Joshua that he wants him to "fill in the blanks" about Rachel Locke. Joshua is amazed that Rachel still uses the name Locke. They were only married for a few months and that was fifteen years ago. The breakup was messy. He suggests that if Chris is asking these questions because Rachel is being considered for an important position, that he look for someone else for the position. He doesn't think too highly of Rachel. Chris asks him about his daughter, Livvie. Joshua tells Chris that he doesn't have a daughter.
