Port Charles Update for Thursday, 12-Oct-2000

In the hospital cafeteria, Eve is suffering from a hangover. She tells Ian that she thinks she acted silly last night. Ian disagrees. He thinks she was just impetuous. Ian tells Eve that he's sorry she was stuck with him all night, but Eve says it is she who is sorry that he had to be with her. Ian tells her that the enzyme treatment for Mr. Green would be arriving soon.

Kevin goes to Lucy's hotel room. He asks her if Livvie said anything about her last session with him. She tells him that Livvie said she didn't want to discuss it. Kevin thinks it must have been a shock to find out that he was there when her aunt died. Livvie enters and is upset to see Kevin there. He tells her that he respects her and is taking himself off her case. Lucy wants to help Livvie and Kevin to work things out, but they want her to leave. Kevin explains to Livvie that he is too close to her case to be her psychiatrist. Livvie gets upset that everyone in her life makes decisions for her, first her mother, now him. Kevin tells Livvie that she can always talk to him as a friend. Later, Eve comes to talk to Livvie. She wants to know why everyone is tiptoeing around Livvie. Livvie tells her that Kevin is no longer her therapist. Eve wants Kevin to stay away from Livvie. She doesn't want him reliving his past. As the conversation becomes heated, Eve leaves.

At GH, Amanda Barrington again warns Jamal to stay away from Alison. She wants to pay him, but he says he'll do it because it's the right thing. He starts to go to the nurses' station where Alison is standing. At the same time, the guy who he was playing dice with approaches Alison and starts to ask her a question. Alison, seeing Jamal, comes from around the desk and hugs the guy, calling him Chandler. Jamal, amused, lets her know that he was gambling with the guy last night. Alison feebly answers that he "looked like" Chandler. Jamal takes Alison into a closet. He tells her that he knows there is no Chandler. She says that she can see in his eyes that he is crazy about her. She knows he wants her. He insists they can't be together because they are from two different worlds. He'll get over her. Alison's eyes fill up with tears. As they leave the closet, two nurses notice them and giggle. They aren't the only ones. Amanda sees Alison and Jamal and looks quite mad.

In another part of GH, Frank tells someone on his phone that he's sure that Courtney will fall for the bait. Courtney comes along and asks Frank for money for new shoes for Neil. Frank suggests that she find a job. Courtney replies that there are other ways for an enterprising girl like her to make money. Later, Frank is talking to Victor on his cell phone and says that Courtney should be there any moment. Courtney enters, screaming and waving a check at Frank. She claims it's not the amount they agreed on. She needs more. Frank says he can't give her more. She rants and raves, then rushes away. Frank tells Victor that Courtney should be answering their ad very soon.

Lucy runs into Ian at GH. She asks him a "hypothetical" question about DNA testing. She wants to know how she could make the results "go away" if she had some DNA tests performed. Ian is amused, realizing that the question is anything but hypothetical. When Lucy leaves, Kevin comes along. When he finds out that Ian was with Eve last night, he is surprised.

A delivery boy finds Ian at the nurses' station. Ian tells him that he was supposed to have delivery at his home. Dr. Boardman comes along and grabs the delivery. He mentions something about herbs for Mr. Green. He takes a small vial out of the manila envelope. It is filled with white powder.
