In her hotel room, Lucy holds the paternity results, but rushes to put them away as Livvie enters. Lucy wants Livvie to share some room service she has ordered, but Livvie tells her that she's meeting Chris for lunch. Rachel arrives and asks Livvie to come to live with her. Lucy interrupts them, talking about what a great person Livvie is. Rachel tells Livvie that she loves her. Livvie says she can't live with Rachel because she tries to control her. She asks Rachel to leave. While Livvie gets ready for lunch with Chris, Lucy leaves.

At a nurses' station, Eve has Robert Green's reports. When Ian arrives, she tells him that Mr. Green isn't going to make it. All his systems are shutting down, but he is still conscious. Eve tells Ian that Mr. Green called out his name. That is why she paged him. They go into Mr. Green's room. Ian says "hey Bob" but Mr. Green doesn't open his eyes. Eve holds Ian's arm. When Ian comments on how sad it is to die alone, Eve reminds him that Mr. Green is not alone. He is with someone who put his career on the line. Eve tells him that his sister would be proud. Mr. Green regains consciousness. He mumbles something about Iris. Eve and Ian wonder if he's talking about Iris DeMarco. Ian tells Eve that he found out that Iris was in an institution. He visited the place and spoke to a woman about Iris. The woman(for those who didn't see the episode - Estelle) told him how men came and took Iris out of Hillhurst. She sketched the logo that was on their clothing. It was the same one they found in Bob Green's apartment.

Chris arrives at the Port Charles Grill for lunch with Livvie. He runs into Kevin and doesn't miss the chance to talk about meeting with Eve the previous night. Kevin warns Chris that he is on very thin ice regarding his relationship with Livvie. Kevin accuses Chris of turning Livvie against him and Rachel. He thinks that Chris holds them responsible for Julie leaving town. Chris counterattacks by saying that Eve spends a lot of time with another man. When Livvie enters, she and Kevin look at each other for a long time. Over lunch, Livvie asks Chris all about Julie. She knows most people in Port Charles didn't like her. Chris says that he would have stuck by his wife if she hadn't left town. He tells Livvie that she should control her own life.

As Lucy arrives at the lighthouse, she realizes that Rachel has followed her. They have their usual volatile exchange. Kevin comes out to stop them. In the conversation that follows, Lucy refers to Livvie as Rachel's "daughter" with a mocking tone. When they go inside the lighthouse, Kevin scolds Lucy for almost giving away the fact that they are suspicious about Livvie's parentage. He tells Lucy that the evidence is mounting that he is Livvie's father. They reminisce about wanting to have a child together. Lucy says he'll make a great father. Kevin reminds Lucy that Livvie thinks of him as someone who let her Aunt Grace die. He doesn't want Livvie to find out about his breakdown and other things he's ashamed of.

Ian tries to get Mr. Green to talk about Iris, but Mr. Green is unconscious. They hear Dr. Boardman coming. Eve says she'll run interference outside the room. Boardman, with Rachel, wants to come inside to see Mr. Green. Eve tells them that Mr. Green is unconscious. When Boardman hears Green's heart monitor go off, he rushes in and finds Ian turning off his life support. Ian says he's dead. Boardman says Ian killed him.

At the end of the show, the scene keeps shifting back and forth between Chris and Livvie and Kevin and Lucy. Chris encourages Livvie to take control and confront Rachel and Kevin about her feelings. Livvie says that Rachel lied to protect her, but Kevin lied to protect himself. Lucy asks Kevin a question: if he could find out right now if Livvie was his daughter or not, would he want to? Kevin gives one of those long soap opera looks.
