Port Charles Update for Friday, 1-Dec-2000

Big day at Port Charles! Lucy invites Livvie for a Thanksgiving family gathering to meet the family and a few friends. Livvie politely declines but rushes out of the hotel room to go see Jack. She arrives at "their place" but Jack has just left. Eve seems visibly shaken as she hears Dr. Thornheart is fixin to leave town and "move on" as he so aptly told Joe. Then a nurse gives her the message that Kevin has left the hospital to go see Ian. Kevin thanks Ian for saving Lucy's life and apologizes for interfering and giving him a hard time. Kevin tells Ian that he is sure Eve would want to say goodbye (well...yes and no!) but Ian asks Kevin to say his goodbye's for him. After not finding Jack, Livvie decides to go to the recovery room and "meet the folks". She meets Victor and Mary, Jamal and Allison, but soon feels the need to take a walk and Kevin tells her everyone will understand. Lucy gives Eve a hard time about Ian, and Eve becomes a little defensive (can Lucy not stay out of anyone's business!) Eve gets a call on her cell phone that test results came in and she tells Kevin she needs to go to the hospital. They embrace and as she is hugging Kevin, she sees Ian's face outside through the window of the recovery room. She rushes out in an effort to catch Ian before he leaves town and Lucy watches from afar. As Ian walks away from Eve, she follows him and Lucy grabs her purse to follow them (she needs to get a life!) but is stopped by Kevin. Eve gets into Ian's car and asks him to tell her the truth about why he is leaving town. He says he will tell her, but he isn't sure she will want to hear the real reason. Just as the clock ticks 7 p.m. a blast shatters the windows of the recovery room!
On the next Port Charles...Livvie gives Estelle some sad news about Rachel, and Joe tells those gathered in the recovery room that there was an explosion and a car is on fire and it looked like Ian's car.
