Alison and Jamal discover that they have both taken the same jobs as "Christmas Elves" at the mall. They are embarrassed at first, but eventually find the humor in the situation and are able to laugh about it together. Later though, they discover that the mall has closed and they are locked in for the night. (I wonder if there is a Wyndams in that mall and they can continue the L&L tradition of spending a magical, romantic evening locked in the department store!).

Lucy invites half the town over to the lighthouse to try and convince Kevin to stay in Port Charles. Everyone reminds Kevin of all the things he has done to help improve the lives of those around him. They take turns sharing their own personal experiences of encouragement and joy and how much of a positive influence Kevin has been in not only their own, but so many other lives. Kevin cannot stand the praises he is receiving and walks past everyone and out the front door. He doesn't see Livvie, whom has hidden at the top of the staircase to remain out of site.

However, Lucy is determined to keep Kevin in Port Charles and goes outside to tell him how she feels and how much she needs him in her life. Everyone follows her outside and then Livvie comes forward. Kevin is surprised to see her yet unsure what to expect from her. She begs Kevin to please stay in Port Charles. She reminds him that they have finally found each other after all these years and asks her "Dad" (Livvie's word, not mine) to please stay! With that, he finally agrees to remain in Port Charles and hugs his daughter tightly. As they all cheer, it begins to snow.

Elsewhere, in their mid-evil, dungeon like quarters, Eve and Ian give in to their passion and fall down onto the bed in a gripping embrace, lips locked and hands moving all over each other. Suddenly though, Ian comes to his senses and pulls back, reminding Eve that she does not want to go back to her husband with a guilty conscious, which is what she will have if they make love. Eve's eyes fill with hope at the thought of actually being able to go home to Port Charles. Ian promises her that she will go home soon. What Eve doesn't know, is that Ian has already made a deal with Harris, if Harris lives then Eve will be allowed to go free but Ian's own life will be the price.

Surprisingly, Harris sends them a gourmet Christmas dinner including Champagne and candles. Ian then tries to get Eve in the Christmas spirit by giving her a marker and two socks. Eve's task is to write their names on the "stockings" and draw a fireplace mantel upon which the stockings can be hung. In the meantime Ian goes into their lab and returns with a "Christmas Tree" made from a microscope, test tubes, and some colored pieces of various things used for ornaments. The two are trying their best to make lemonade out of the lemons (that's an understatement!) that they have been dealt this Christmas. Then Ian gives Eve a present. The bracelet of the beads representing each of the children that had died from the virus when Harris had intentionally withheld the cure from Ian, and hence, the children. Eve says she can't accept it, but Ian insists. Eve's eyes fill with tears as she realizes what the gift she has just received means to Ian. She tells him that she wishes that she had a present for him. Ian suggests Eve give him a dance. He hums a tune softly and they hold each other close. As they are dancing, we hear the thoughts going through each of their minds.

Eve's unspoken thought to Ian is:
"This is a magical time Ian. Don't you realize that I 've fallen in love with you? Don't you feel it?"

Ian's unspoken thought to Eve is:
"Oh God Eve, I couldn't make love to you, not after the deal I made with Harris! One day you'll understand that I loved you enough to give my life for yours."

Eve stops dancing, pulls back a bit, and asks Ian what he is thinking. Ian says "There's something I've got to tell you." They look deeply into each other's eyes, with a mutual longing of love and desire. "What?" Eve whispers quietly. "Merry Christmas!" Ian replies, not daring to voice his true thoughts aloud. "Merry Christmas!" , Eve says. (I haven't watched such a touching love scene since Scarlett and Rhett …)

Merry Christmas everyone :)
