F.Y.I.-Book One of the Port Charles Trilogy (Fate) is about to conclude and Book Two (Guilt) will begin. And boy-will there be guilt! For a very brief update from last episode (after the holiday vacation):
On the last Port Charles-Eve was hit by a car in front of the lighthouse as she was running away from the front door into Ian's arms (and a waiting cab) after having been unable to reach Kevin (he was inside indisposed with Lucy).
Today: Jack has been leaving messages and attempting to get in touch with Livvie. He wants to let her know he talked to his probation officer to check in and get things cleared up so that they can relax and enjoy being together without any unfinished business. Meanwhile, Chris got into Livvie's hotel room and checked her machine and deleted her message from Jack. Livvie walks in to find him there and questions him (obviously). Chris says he was concerned, wanted to leave her a note (ever heard of the FRONT DESK!). Livvie finally believes him and quickly gets rid of him only to rush to her answering machine (she had been expecting a call from Jack) and finds there are no messages. She is disappointed and so is Jack, as he is waiting for her at the recovery room, shooting the breeze with Jamal. Jack tells Jamal he and Livvie have a real connection-he can feel it. At the hospital, Karen is feeling stressed and showing it to a visiting Frank. She says her "shoulder" hurts (likely excuse for a good neckrub from a cutie!) and Frank offers to massage it for her. She is definately liking this. After cuddling with Gabby, Joe turns to see this but doesn't seem too bugged by it. Enough of Livvie & Jack, Joe and Karen...onto the lighthouse.
Kevin and Lucy (after hot and heavy lovemaking) hear screeching brakes outside the lighthouse and assume it's just someone who took the corner too quickly. Kevin says he better check and Lucy retires to take a "hot, steamy, shower" and invites him to join her after he is through outside. Kevin runs outside and into a woman who was the driver of the car that hit Eve. She said she hit someone but didn't mean to do it. Kevin rushed over to where a man was leaning over a victim and Kevin offered his help, as Ian turned and revealed himself to Kevin. The driver of the car called 911 from a payphone and the ambulance is on it's way. Kevin of course has questions but can't believe Ian and Eve are alive. The ambulance comes (of course Frank is the rescue guy-he's like Garcia-everywhere!), Ian and Kevin both ride to the hospital and Eve is rushed into Xray and into the hands of stunned Karen, Gabby, Joe and others at the hospital who are glad they are alive. Lucy sees that Kevin hasn't come back yet, goes outside and finds the driver of the car distraught and saying she didn't mean to hit the woman. Without knowing who the "woman" was, Lucy tells the driver she needs to stick around and give the police a statement. As she says this, GARCIA shows up (surprise-I think he is the only cop in town) and Lucy goes over to Garcia to tell him what's going on and they turn around and the driver is gone. Hmmmm.... While Eve is being examined, Ian tells Kevin that Harris kidnapped them so they could formulate a cure for his disease. Kevin starts throwing blows and blames Ian for Eve getting involved and says that if Eve dies, it will be all Ian's fault. Joe breaks up the fight as Karen arrives and says that Eve seems to not have any internal injuries but they are waiting on the xrays for news on head trauma, she may just have a severe concussion. Kevin runs screaming to xray to tell them they have to hurry with the results (like they aren't working fast enough-Kev!). Ian explains to Joe that he and Eve were kidnapped. The pain in Ian's eyes is apparent as he tells Joe that if anything happen's to Eve, it will be his fault. Ian is remembering Eve telling him just moments before how much she loved him and wanted to spend her life with him. Karen lets Kevin in to be next to Eve's bedside and Kevin whispers how sorry he is to her and Lucy arrives on the scene and sees Kevin talking to Eve!
On the next Port Charles....Kevin tells Lucy that Eve was the one knocking on the door while he was making love to her, and Ian has a great comeback with asking Kevin what was so important behind his closed doors that he didn't answer the door for Eve, and if he had, maybe she would be alive. (Way to go-Ian!)
