Port Charles Update for Wednesday, 3-Jan-2001

The aftermath of Eve's hit and run car accident continues. Lucy sees Kevin hovering over Eve's bedside beggin her to live and is pained to see this because of her feelings for Kevin. Kevin leaves the room to talk to Lucy and tells her that the reason Eve is in this mess is because he didn't answer the door because he and Lucy were making love. Guilt...(Kevin's)Kevin is also angry at Ian for bringing Eve into his problems which caused her to get kidnapped in the first place. Lucy tries hard to understand. Victor and Mary arrive on the scene and Victor can see the pain in Lucy's eyes as she is telling them it is a miracle Eve is alive. Victor can't believe it because he had a hunch Harris was the guy who caused the explosion but because the DNA tests were so conclusive in regards to Ian and Eve's "bodies", they gave up the search for them. Guilt....(Lucy's). While Kevin is talking to Lucy, Ian slips in Eve's room and tells her he can't lose her, not after everything they have shared. Kevin enters, but obviously hasn't heard the entire profession of love from Ian. Kevin tells Ian to leave, but Ian refuses until he knows Eve is safe. The results of the CAT scan come back and it appears Eve has a slight head fracture, but no bleeding so she should be ok. They will have to wait until she wakes up. So Ian and Kevin both stake their territory in her room and intend to be there until she awakes. Finally, a groggy Eve wakes up, as Kevin is holding one hand and Ian the other (oh, the pain!) and looks at Kevin a little blankly and then turns and looks at Ian. (Kevin seems a bit uncomfortable with this). Also...Frank tells Karen he would be happy to give her another massage but she said she still hasn't recovered from yesterday's and when she gets the results of Eve's CAT scan, Frank offers to be there for her (she politely refuses but is touched-I told y'all there was something there!).
On the next Port Charles...Allison promises to give Jamal a night he will never forget, and Eve tries to talk to Kevin.
