Port Charles Update for Tuesday, 9-Jan-2001

After getting a payoff from Chris (Chris said he did owe him for taking care of their mother-although his payoff was not a "generous" nature), Jack paid off the doorman to let him know that Chris had paid the desk clerk to keep his calls from Livvie. Jack filled Livvie's hotel room with flowers and when she returned, was waiting for her. He told her he could stay in Port Charles, and that he took care of things with his probation officer. Livvie was excited to see him and they went to Jamal and Allison's to invite them for a celebratory dinner. As Jamal was telling Allison how "real life" is and that racism does exist, Jack and Livvie show up. However, as Jamal was fixing his bike (damaged by the drunk guy who mistook Allison for a hooker) there wasn't a festive mood at the love shack! Jack offered to help and Allison and Livvie went to the recovery room to make some dinner for the guys. Jamal told Jack what happened, as Allison questioned Livvie on where Jack got all his money. Moments later-guess who-THE GUY WHO'S EVERYWHERE- The omnipresent GARCIA shows up at Jamals (I am believing Port Charles has no other cops!). Garcia arrests Jack. Chris turned Jack in after taping Jack accepting money from him and Jack admitting on the tape that he used Livvie to get to Chris. Other reasons may come out later, but I think they call this extortion?? Could be off on that one.
Ian visits with Eve and tries desperately to get her to remember their time together and what they shared. Eve's having a hard time remembering, although, looking at Ian, images of her kissing Ian flash through her mind and she isn't sure what is and isn't reality. Gail sees Ian pressuring Eve to remember and asks him to back away. Eve confesses to Gail that her memories are flashes of romantic feelings for Ian. Gail points out Eve should deal with being home home with her husband, that is her reality right now. The rest will come later.
Lucy tells Kevin she knows they have connected and has to believe things will work out, but Kevin continues to insist his place is with his wife right now. Lucy, being prompted by Scott, intends to tell Kevin about changing the DNA tests, chickens out, turns to leave, but ends up telling him (as the show is ending of course!) that whatever she did is because she loved him and didn't want him to be hurt, but that she knew Ian and Eve were alive and didn't tell him.
On the next Port Charles..... Jack confronts Chris at the police station, as he admits to Chris that he came to Port Charles to get back at Chris, and Lucy fills Kevin in on the details of changing the DNA tests!
