Port Charles Update for Wednesday, 10-Jan-2001

Jack arrives with the ever-present Garcia at the police station, quickly followed by Jamal, Allison and Livvie. Jack explains to Garcia that he worked out everything with his probation officer. Garcia said he was being arrested for theft. ENTER: CHRIS (this was a surpise!). Chris reported $10,000 was stolen from him, and Garcia, the detective, found out that Jack had been spending alot of money (aka the flowers in Livvie's hotel room). Chris played dumb-said he didn't know it was Jack. Told Garcia he would drop the charges and work it out with Jack. Livvie was confused-couldn't believe either one at the moment, and as emotions heightened, Jack led Chris to believe that he had come to Port Charles to get even with him. Punches were thrown, and Garcia hauled Jack off, as a confused Livvie went home with Jamal and Allison, who told her they would make sure this got worked out.
Lucy told Kevin she changed the DNA tests to say Ian and Eve had died in the explosion, because she loved him and thought Ian and Eve were having an affair and had run away together. She didn't want him to be hurt (but Eve dying didn't hurt him?? Lucy!). Lucy confessed her undying love for Kevin and said the universe wants them to be together, they are meant for each other and that it was FATE that had her at the computer at the moment the DNA tests came in (yeah-whatever you call it Lucy!). Kevin was FURIOUS to say the least. After seriously yelling for several minutes at her he stormed off and told Lucy he wanted no part of her mixed up roller coaster world anymore, leaving Lucy in tears.
The woman who hit Eve with the car is at the police station when Ian is giving the officer his report. She asks to talk to Ian. She asks Ian how Eve is and said she never meant to hurt her. Ian says he knows and told the police. She was grateful. But she still has the hit and run to deal with. Ian questioned whether she was working for someone (possibly Harris but didn't mention names) and she said nothing. Meanwhile, SOMEONE posted her bail and the officer came in to discharge her. She thought Ian had posted bail. He said he didn't, to which she replied, "they must have done it then" and told Ian that if she would be in jail for a long time for attempted murder, then she hit Eve on purpose (she obviously is running from something-Ian knows it, police know it). Ian said he knows she didn't, but hoped she got things worked out. The woman quietly slips out of the station with hat and coat and follows Ian home. After Ian retires to his bed to get sleep, she breaks into his room through his window and curls up under her coat to wait for him to wake up. (No clue who this woman is).
On the next Port Charles.... Karen talks to Eve about her missing memories, and Kevin confronts Ian about whether he and Eve had an affair and produces Ian's love letter to Eve as the proof!
