This may not be the fourth of July, but it's definitely Lucy's Independence Day.

Kevin wonders just who Lucy was talking to, myself suggests Lucy - after all she doesn't see anyone else in the room. Well, no one else except the incredibly handsome man that has her all flustered. Lucy admits she was saying out loud what she would have liked to have said to Eve but didn't. Kevin is a bit thunderstruck by the idea that Eve posted bail for Lucy, but Lucy couldn't get past Kevy's head of security to reach her best friend. Lucy is sorry she had to call Kevin for help, sorry she got Eve instead, and very sorry but she's tired of saying she's sorry so she doesn't think she will anymore.

A cop enters the Interrogation room and rather snottily tells Lucy that she is free to leave, but Kevin would like a few answers first. How on earth did she end up in jail? Lucy explains helpfully she is a very talented woman. Were you charged with anything, the still curious Kevin asks? Obnoxiousness in the 1st degree answers the just arriving Scott who wonders how Lucy always ends up in more trouble than he left her whenever he goes out of town. I hear she's a very talented woman, supplies Kevin as he and Lucy share one of their K/L looks - not the I adore you, but the okay buddy you are in big trouble now kind.

Lucy, it turns out, is not in the mood for lectures from her lawyer, is tired of being given advice and really doesn't care what either one of them have to say right now, she's on her way home to a nice bath. Once Lucy leaves, after one last long look at Kevin, Kevin admits Lucy's troubles may be at least partly his fault. Ya think? Scott agrees, plus he thinks it's time Kevin set Lucy free. Although they have both hurt Lucy unintentionally Scott explains, it's Kevin Lucy is addicted to. She just stands there and takes it from them - like the helpless little victim I am? - adds the returning Lucy.

Kevin worries his signals may be all mixed up, but Lucy reads them loud and clear. Lucy doesn't want Scott's or Kevin's help, in fact she has had an epiphany (huh asks Scott?) a lightbulb that told her she doesn't need either one of them. If Kevin wants Eve, fine. If Scott wants Laura, fine. She is off to find her own happiness - she is Lucy Coe she explains to Kevin in case he's forgotten and she deserves great happiness and he won't have her which is his loss and hasta la vista baby-ies - she is out of there. Kevin and Scott stare at each other, as Lucy goes off to start her own fireworks.

Meanwhiie elsewhere in the fine town of Port Charles, Joe and Ian are having a man-to-man talk, well Ian is being all snarky and Joe is trying to find out who the heck is the strange woman living in his house and why. Ian finally admits his bad mood has nothing to do with Joe or Arianna, it's Eve and Kevin's plan to renew their wedding vows. Maybe it's for the best Ian muses (oh trust me Irish babe, it's not). If Ian was making a movie, maybe it would have a different happier ending but as long as Eve is happy, he's okay with this one.

As Karen gets ready for her Frank date, Eve the obsessor knocks on her door all in turmoil about the bracelet. It definitely belongs to Ian- how did she end up wearing it? She has to have answers, before she goes out of her mind. And she knows where to get them (no going to Ian is too logical - this is a soap remember), at Harris' compound. Karen won't let Eve go alone, even though it means breaking the date with the just arriving Frank. Frank takes the news like a man, but dumps the gardenias he bought for Karen all angsty-like.

With lightening speed, Karen and Eve arrive at the compound which rather unnerves both women and they jump as the door to the room Ian and Eve shared creaks open......
