Port Charles Update for Thursday, 25-Jan-2001

Kevin and Eve's wedding vow renewal day begins. Eve tries (unconvincingly) to make it the "perfect" day. But as the morning progresses, both Eve and Kevin have thoughts of others. Eve can't quit thinking about Ian. Karen visits Eve and tells her that if there are any reservations, to not go through with the ceremony. Mac visits Kevin and Kevin tells him he can't quit thinking of Lucy. Mac dishes out the same advice as Karen-no need to renew the vows. Kevin says he must.
Before the ceremony, Kevin gives Eve her wedding ring, that was given to him by the police after the car explosion. Kevin had the wedding ring restored. Eve tells Kevin things aren't perfect between them, but Kevin says they can get that back. He loves her and all will work out fine.

Victor visits Lucy at her new home and is surprised to hear that she is planning to attend the nuptials. Victor tells her that even though Kevin may love her, he also loves Eve and is committed to her and will be renewing his vows with her because it is the honorable thing to do and he wants Eve to be happy. Lucy is in agony as she debates whether to attend.

Ian comforts Ariana and assures her she will be safe at the shelter. Ian tells Joe that he is a little on edge as Eve is renewing her vows with Kevin, and he and Eve were in love. But, of course, Eve can't remember that. Joe tells Ian that even though it may not work, that if he is really serious, he ought to give Eve one more chance to remember what happened between them before walking away.

Lucy and Ian arrive at the lighthouse just in time for the wedding ceremony. As Ian prepares to be there as the woman he loves remarries her husband, Ariana's brother arrives in her hospital room with the good ol' folks from immigration to take her back home (that was pretty quick thinkin-buddy! I hadn't even thought of that one!)

On the next Port Charles...Allison plays Chris' tape of Jack saying he had used Livvie to get to Chris, Lucy told Kevin that he is denying he wants her as much as Lucy wants him, and Ian steps outside to find a tearful Eve, and hope that she has remembered him.
