Port Charles Update for Friday, 26-Jan-2001

In her hospital room, Arianna tells Ben that Ian won't let him harm her. Ben reminds her that the immigration people will be bringing her back to her country. Gabriela enters and asks Ben to leave. She tells Arianna that she'll get another guard for her door.

Alison visits Livvie in her hotel room. She plays the tape of Jack telling Chris that he was using Livvie to get back at Chris. Later, Jack is there. Alison warns him that she can make his life miserable. When they are alone, Livvie plays the tape for Jack. She wants an explanation. He says he doesn't have one. It's all true. Jack admits that when he came to Port Charles, he wanted to take what was his brother's. Jack says that Livvie really got to him. Things changed. He thinks it wasn't a coincidence that Chris' investigator dumped the tape with Alison. Livvie says he has made a fool of her. She was ready to go away with him and make love. She tells Jack to leave.

At the lighthouse, Kevin is getting dressed in the bedroom, when there is a knock at his door. It's Lucy, who says she couldn't stay away, especially today. Lucy explains that she has tried to moved on without him. She bought new clothes, a new car, a new home and even went on a date. Everywhere she goes, she sees Kevin. She knows they belong together. Kevin says he belongs with Eve. As he heads to the door, screaming at Lucy to leave him alone, she starts to cry. Witnessing all this at the door is Mac.

Victor finds Eve outside the lighthouse. He tells her that she looks beautiful. She says she has the jitters. He goes inside. Ian comes out to join Eve. When she asks how his girlfriend is, he tells her that he doesn't have a girlfriend. She explains that she saw him hugging someone. Ian says that she is just a friend. Mary comes out to encourage Eve to come inside for the ceremony. Eve drops something. She and Ian both bend over to pick it up and exchange loving glances before Eve goes inside.

Lucy sits at the bar at the Port Charles Grille, drowning her sorrows. Jack comes in to do some serious drinking himself. Lucy recognizes him as the one she met in jail. They do some toasting and bonding. They get melancholy about the loves that got away. Lucy refers to Kevin as "Doc." When Jack teases about him being one of the dwarfs, Lucy tells him that only she can call him "Doc." They continue to drink and consequently get higher and higher. Jack tells Lucy that she is amazing. She tells him that he is adorable. He leans over and kisses her cheek. They stare at each other and then kiss on the lips. Lucy tells Jack that she just bought a house and invites him to come over. They leave.

Friends and family gather at the lighthouse for Kevin and Eve's ceremony. Karen and Frank do some flirting. Eve comes down the stairs. The guests all join hands and gather around the couple. Ian stands alone, across the room. When Eve sees him there, she is distracted. At one point, she hears Ian's voice saying things he has said in the past. She is in another world and doesn't respond to the questions she is asked. Ian goes to leave and bumps into Gabriela on the way out. She tells him how Arianna's brother is trying to deport her. Gabriela asks if he wants to come back inside. Ian responds "there is nothing for me here." As the ceremony progresses, Eve has more flashbacks of being with Ian. She remembers him telling her that he loves her and wants to grow old with her. She remembers asking him to make love to her. The guests are all getting misty, but Eve's mind is elsewhere.
