Port Charles Update for Wednesday, 7-Feb-2001

Ian and Ariana return to their "love nest" as a married couple. Joe and Gabriella hear them come and in and come down to say hi, only to be greeted with Ian's news that they have married. As Joe takes Ian upstairs to search for something to celebrate with (a knock over the head maybe?) he tells Ian that he knows he didn't marry Ariana for the normal reasons. Ian says all that is behind him and tells Joe about Ariana's honor killing and how he married her to keep her safe. Ian tells Joe that Eve is no longer in the picture, but Joe realizes (and tells Ian) that Eve never renewed her vows with Kevin (Ian was shocked) and that she had left the ceremony. Gabriella tells Ariana that she can trust her, and Ariana said that her and Ian may not have married for the normal reasons, but that she could treat him right and it could work out. Gabriella has her doubts. After Joe and Gabby leave, Immigration shows up and tells Ariana they are there to deport her, but Ian tells them she is his wife. INS says they will question them...but separately.

Kevin returns home to find Eve at home (where he did NOT expect she would be) and as they talk, they both confess. Eve tells Kevin she remembered at the ceremony about falling in love with Ian, but that she is not with him because he is now married. Kevin tells Eve that after he thought she was dead, he "found his way back" with Lucy. Eve wonders how, after they had such hopes for the future and were so in love, how things ever got so messed up. Kevin asks Eve if Ian were not married would she be with him right then, and a tearful Eve goes outside to the place where they were married to reflect. Kevin follows her and they talk more.

Karen and Frank return home with the new "computer" they bought at the charity auction (that computer is possessed!). It's an old relic and huge and pretty ugly. Karen thought she wanted it, but turns out she really doesn't have much use. After messing up his leg trying to move it (and Karen giving his leg a little massage!!!) Frank agrees to store it at his place, and Karen admits to him that her mother coming to town threw her a curve ball and makes her question her soberness for a moment. She has so many bad memories of growing up with her mother drinking. She assures Frank that he is a stable, good influence in her life.

On the next Port Charles...Eve asks Kevin not to hate her, Ariana tells Ian that in order to convince everyone they are really married, they must share a bed as if they were married (that's taking it a bit far for a favor-Ariana!) and Livvie overhears Lucy and Jack talking about what almost happened between them!
