Port Charles Update for Friday, 9-Feb-2001

Arianna tells Ian that they should live like a normal married couple by the time that the immigration people come back. They should share a bed. Ian is not too eager but agrees, adding that he won't take advantage of the situation. Arianna becomes emotional and starts to pack. A picture of Ben and her falls to the floor. She rips it up. Ian says that when the immigration people return, he will know all about Arianna. Now he has to go and get his job back. When Arianna appears nervous, Ian reminds her that Ben is in jail.

Eve enters the on-call room. She has flashbacks of Ian telling her that he's married. The camera shows us men's feet at the open door. Slowly, it is revealed to us that it is Ben. Along comes Chris. He tells Ben that the room is "for doctors only" before Eve can notice that he is there. Chris is surprised that Eve is back at GH already. Eve, with tears rolling down her cheeks, tells Chris that she and Kevin are splitting up. Chris says that Kevin wasn't good enough for her. She sings Kevin's praises. Chris wants to know why it didn't work out. As the dramatic music builds, Ian walks in and he and Eve lock eyes. Chris picks up on the looks and says it's easy to see why Eve and Kevin are splitting up. Eve is upset that Chris revealed this. Chris leaves. Ian wants to know what happened to Eve and Kevin's marriage. Eve doesn't want to discuss it. She tells Ian to just worry about his own marriage. They are colleagues only. Ian says they are more than that. They both want to know about each other's marriages. Eve tells Ian, with tears in her eyes, that she remembers everything. She remembers that they fell in love.

At the spa, Lucy and Jack look pathetic trying to explain to Livvie what she overheard. Lucy says that Jack fell asleep at her place. That's what she meant by sleeping with her. Little Livvie can't be fooled this time. She puts together all the things she knows. She knows they are lying. Jack didn't even know where Lucy lived. Livvie keeps grilling them. They admit that they kissed. Neither of them knew who the other one was. It was a night when they both had hit rock-bottom. Livvie accuses Lucy of just pretending to be her friend and substitute mother. Now, she doesn't want to ever see Lucy or Jack again. She further deduces that Kevin knew what happened that night with Lucy and Jack. She is outraged and leaves. As Lucy and Jack talk about Livvie, Lucy realizes just how much Jack cares about Livvie. He says he loves Livvie and then looks slightly stunned. He says that he never actually thought that before. Lucy says she'll help him get Livvie back. They worry about what she might try to do. She looked desperate.

When Arianna is alone, she is startled to find Ben in her apartment. He says he is there to give her a wedding gift. She doesn't want to take it, but he forces her to open it. It's a baby rattle. Ben says it's for her baby. Arianna reminds Ben that he knows she lost her baby. Ben says that the rattle is for the future. The only way that he'll believe that Arianna and Ian's marriage is for real is when she can prove that she is carrying Ian's child.

Chris enters his bedroom. He is stunned to find Livvie lying seductively in his bed under the sheets. A camera shows her from the rear. She slips the cover off of her naked body. She asks Chris "are you glad to see me? all of me?"
