Port Charles Update for Monday, 26-Feb-2001

Jamal tells Alison that she did a great job driving his bike for her first time. She is bubbling over with excitement. After saying that they have to get back to his shop, Jamal confides that he still isn't used to the fact that he has his own shop.

At home, Arianna is talking to Mary on the phone when she is startled by someone coming down the stairs. It's Gabriela. She says that Ian wanted her to keep an eye on Arianna while he was out of town. When Arianna mentions that Ben left town because he thought he killed Joe, Gabriela is furious. Arianna tells her the whole story. Gabriela can't believe her ears. Joe comes bounding down the stairs. Gabriela throws a pillow at him and calls him stupid. She then gets very angry and goes off on Joe. He says that he didn't tell her about what he and Ian had planned because he thought she might react this way. Gabriela reminds him that she was with him through the whole HIV scare and he owes it to her to stay alive. He says that he didn't know it was possible to love someone so much and hugs and kisses her. Joe reminds Gabriela that Ian had to do something to save Arianna. Now he went halfway across the world to save someone else. Arianna looks sad.

At the bike shop, Jack continues to struggle with the thugs. Livvie and Chris enter and the thugs leave. Livvie rushes to Jack, who is on the floor. Chris is smirking and makes remarks about Jack always being in trouble. Chris reports the incident to the police, and as an afterthought, requests that an ambulance be sent also. Livvie is still concerned for Jack, but Chris is indifferent. As Jack starts to leave, Livvie asks Chris to please help him. Chris tells Jack that he has a dislocation and asks him to let him do his job. He lays Jack down on the floor, tells him that it's going to hurt and proceeds to pull his arm. Jamal and Alison enter and are shocked to see what happened to the shop. When the cops arrive, Jack and Jamal offer no information to help them. Alison can tell that they are hiding something. Jack tells Alison and Jamal that the hit was not random. The intruders said they were friends of Travis. Livvie tells Jack that he owes a lot to Chris for how he fixed his shoulder. As Livvie drools over Chris, Jack gets disgusted. Alison is discouraged and thinks Travis will continue to try to get revenge, but Jamal says he won't let a fool like Travis stand in his way.

In her delirium, Eve continues to remember her past life. She is sobbing after reading the telegram informing her that her fiance died in the war. In the present, Ian is at her bedside. The island couple tell him how Eve was drawn to the island just like he was. They tell how she risked her own life to save Kaylo's life. Ian says he will save Eve's life. He kisses her. Her eyes open. She says "you came back to me. You came back." Eve drifts from the present to the past. The natives tell Ian that what they gave Eve will keep her in a previous life. Ian picks up a delirious Eve and carries her out of the room. The next time that we see them, Eve is lying down next to an open fire. Ian is applying water to her neck and head. He says that the waters have healing powers. He tells Eve that they belong together. He won't lose her.
