Welcome to today’s ain’t it great to be a K/L fan update.

We start off at the bike shop and all those pesky violations that threaten to close it down. Jamal’s not as sure as Allison is that “Nana” is behind their troubles. Jack thinks most of the violations are crazy – I guess it’s the sane ones they have to worry about. And then we travel to one of my favorite places, the Lighthouse, where the fire is hot but the dinner is apparently cold, and our heroine (that would be Lucy) is fast asleep. Kevin comes bearing roses as a peace offering and a kiss for Lucy, who knows then it’s time to wake up. Lucy appreciates the way Kevin apologizes. Lucy then notices the very big white bandage around Kevin’s hand – what happened?

Oh wow – look it’s Eve. Isn’t that great? I mean we hardly ever get to see Eve. And yup, she’s talking to another one of those terribly back of the burner characters Ian. I am so glad tptb could spare them some air time. Eve explains once again, in case Ian didn’t quite get her meaning yesterday, that Arianna is in love with Ian. I guess Ian did need it explained to him twice because Ian replies that no she’s not (there are none so blind as those -). He wonders if Eve could be overreacting. Eve explains that little-girl-lost Arianna looks at him the same way she does, and that Ari is afraid of losing the man that she loves.

Jack oh so adroitly bumps his head, as Jamal sees no way they can rewire, replumb and reinsulate the place. Jamal’s solution is to find a new place, because there are so many people that are willing to hand over bike shops. Jamal and Allison accuse each other of being negatively realistic. Allison plans to stick it to Nana by going to the press and informing them that Nana hid from the world the fact Ally killed Cedric. Jamal, in major me-man overload, explains to Allison that it’s his sign over the door, his name and his decision. I know that would win points with me. Kevin explains to Lucy that it was no big deal, but Lucy sees the huge bandage as plenty big thank you very much. Kevin explains about the man with the unloaded gun and the wife with the very sharp scissors. Lucy wants Kevin to promise he won’t ever get involved with something like that again. Kevin can’t. The Interim Police Commissioner (that would be not-the-Mac) asked him not only to be involved with the psychiatric SWAT team but also to actually head it. Great replies Lucy (in the I-mean-the-opposite voice), now instead of being safe in an office you will be out on the streets with bad guys and guns and in danger. Lucy just got Kevin back, now he wants her to be okay with this?

Ian allows that there might be a possibility that Arianna would find a ruggedly handsome man (and aren’t we glad he is?) who is also sensitive smit-worthy (no ego on this guy.) Eve contends that Ari’s feelings are real, Ian is her hero and Eve is the “other woman.” Again she brings up the Chief and his dire prediction (but thank whatever powers to be that we didn’t actually flashback to it). Ian still maintains that all this is temporary and he asked Victor (come out come out wherever you are) to help. Ian wants to settle all this right now and goes Arianna hunting but Arianna is nowhere to be found. Eve wants to go with him to find her, but Ian has to do this all alone. A few kisses later and he’s out the door, on yet another rescue Arianna mission. Hey look – we found Arianna! She’s sitting on the dock and very upset, wondering what she is going to do.

Allison can’t believe Jamal is calling the bike shop his, she was under the impression it was their’s (actually I thought it was Jack’s too – and the mystery GH guy – and probably another person or two). It’s Jamal’s name and his rep and by gosh he is going tomorrow to ask the building people for an extension, cause so far they’ve been so darn open-minded. Jamal accuses Allison of acting stupid (always a bright thing to do.) Jack begins to lock doors and then slips out. Kevin realizes that there are risks involved in his new job but it’s something he really wants to do. He knows that he can make a difference. It’s okay with Lucy says the gracious lady. You really mean that asks the oh-so-really-really-handsome man? Lucy wonders if he wants the truth, always replies Kevin. Lucy would rather have him safe, puffing on pipes (never exclaims Kevin – though he has smoked those really icky cigars) and wearing tweed jackets (well – Kevin has done that but it was the 70’s and the style and...) but if this is what Kevin wants then Lucy wants him to go for it. She is very proud that Kevin has found something that he is both passionate about and good at.

Kevin is thrilled that he has Lucy’s blessings, she thinks maybe sometime she could ride around in the cop car with him. Not in this lifetime replies Kevin, ‘sides he likes having someone to come home, like tonight. He’s glad Lucy’s here, so is she (and so am I – they are just so darn cute together!). But it’s late, maybe she should go home says Lucy, Kevin suggests that Lucy stay with him tonight. And if words and his smile aren’t enough (what a smile!) he begins to kiss her and doesn’t even care when the power of love hurts his hand. Back at the apartment, Eve blows out Ari’s candles and struggles not to call someone on the phone. Finally she gives up trying to do nothing and leaves. Ian is at the Scanlon’s and so is Joe – with a big baseball bat. After that misunderstanding is cleared up, a sleeping-over Gabby informs Ian that Ari’s feelings for him run much deeper than friendly. Ian leaves to keep looking for her.

Apparently Ian didn’t get the memo that the docks are the place to be, cause Ari is still there and so is a man who tells her pretty women shouldn’t be out there alone. Arianna panics and then attacks the man. Allison’s attempt to storm out of the bike shop is thwarted by all those locked doors, A and J figure out that the other J – Jack – was responsible. Allison hates that Nana has reduced her to throwing tantrums, and bemoans the fact that Nana has ruined everything in a very unSpunkylike way. Jamal points out that Amanda can’t stop them from loving each other (only Chief’s with dire predictions can do that.) Joe’s police friend calls, a woman fitting Ari’s description has been taken to GH. Eve is at the Lighthouse door and realizes that she can no longer use her key, she knocks and then is walking away when the door is open. Kevin? Well it’s Kevin in a way, in the way that it’s his shirt that Lucy is wearing. Eve looks a bit stunned and we are outta here –
