Port Charles Update for Wednesday, 14-Mar-2001

After overhearing a message Frank left at the hotel for Karen, Chris gives Frank a hard time about his relationship with his "brother's former girlfriend". Of course, this gets Frank a little hot under the collar. A girl at the Recovery Room asks Frank for the chance to see this computer he's always talking about working on and wants to come and see it (yeah-that's a new one!). She asks Frank out for something to eat and then a peek at the computer. Frank reluctantly agrees, but feels a little guilty about what he sees as a betrayal to the woman he really wants to be with (Karen). As Frank leaves the room for a moment, Chris answers the phone in the RR and it's Karen leaving a message for Frank that she's on her way back. Chris sees this as prime opportunity for Frank to screw up, and fails to give him the message. Later, Frank has a cryptic conversation with the "computer-with-a-life-of-its-own" and asks Frank to tell "it" about himself. (This is turning out very wierd!)

Livvie meets Allison at the bike shop and gives her money she has saved and wants to donate to the "Save-the-Jamal" bike shop fund. Allison is very grateful. She tells Livvie that Jack has been very helpful through everything and tells her about Jack locking her and Jamal in the bike shop when they were fighting, until they worked out their differences. Livvie was touched by Jack's romantic gesture, and Allison tells her she needs to rethink getting back with Jack, as he is an awesome guy! Yet, Allison is still upset about the city requirements for Jamals bike shop courtesy of her "nana", and as Jack shows up, Allison muses that no amount of money will be able to help and that there is no way they can complete the requirements before the deadline. Jack urges her not to give up and suggests he and Allison go back to meet Jamal and discuss how to handle the situation. Livvie says she will join them, but Jack turns her down (ouch!) Later, Livvie meets Chris at the Recovery Room to talk about her interview for pre-med school program, but can't stop thinking about Jack, and their romantic moments.

Arianna has been brought to General Hospital and into Kevin's care after she freaked out at the waterfront. Kevin talks to Ian and tells him that he has caused enough problems in women's lives (another ouch!) and Ian asks if Arianna is better without him (no comment!). Kevin tries to talk to Arianna but she refuses and says she only wants to go home. Kevin lets Ian in to see her and she brightens right up (amazing how that works).

Eve goes to the lighthouse to lean on Kevin, after Ian has taken off to look for Arianna. Eve is starting to believe that what the chief said on the island is true...they may have obstacles that will keep them apart. Instead she gets Lucy answering the door in a silky night shirt. Despite this, Lucy offers to help by listening and Eve takes her up on it (progress...) Eve tells Lucy about the chief and what he said and asks Lucy's opinion and Lucy says that it sounds like the guy is probably on the up and up and that what he says will probably come true. Eve gets a call from Ian that Arianna is at GH and he needs to take care of that situation and will see her later. Eve breaks down in tears and Lucy does a pretty good job at comforting and listening.

On the next Port Charles...as Karen is headed back to PC, Frank is sitting down for Pizza with a "date".
